He said "funk"! Brainiac was struggling to find enough memory to communicate, hence all the glitching. He was trying to talk while fighting the song. He finally ran out when he came to that line in the lyrics and finally phased out, unable to control himself anymore.

To this day I still wonder how Richie coughed up a feather when he’s wearing a mask that is completely covering his mouth. This wasn’t the only animation goof made involving Richie and his magic mask

There’s absolutely no way for something to slip under it unless it was somehow broken or knocked askew. He’s also still wearing it when he coughs up the feather so how did he do that without taking it off?
