I know I'm biased because I've been watching the Bruins since before I can remember and I was born in 85, but I have to hand it to Marchand... what a career, and I pray he gets to lift the cup one last time before he retires. What people in other teams don't know about Marchand is his internal will to compete. This man puts his entire body and soul on the ice. The past few years he has been playing through severe pain, multiple serious surgeries and by sheer will power and determination, he has recovered from these surgeries faster than normal. Like MUCH faster. My sister and her husband are both medical doctors and he is a trauma surgeon that recently did an internship at Mass General and some of the surgical team he worked with are consultants and members of the team that was treating Marchand for the major surgery he had between the 2022-23 and 2023-2024 season. The year before was the record setting year that was Bergeron's last year, and I guess Marchand was playing through a level of pain that people can't even tolerate and they get surgery as soon as possible because they are in so much pain that they have to be laid up in a hospital bed and pumped full of drugs. Not Brad Marchand. They gave topical injections and very specialized pain management that allowed him to get through the season, because he refused to miss his last season with Bergeron. Every time he did his rapid sheer and direction reversals that he does along the boards, he would of been experiencing pain that would cause a normal person to be on the floor and rolling around in pain. After his surgery, which 80 to 90% of people would have to retire or go on disability, he somehow healed in half the time that it normally takes. Instead of retiring, he refused to give up, and he now wears the C on his jersey, and made it to the second round against the best team in the NHL with a limited range of movement. He may have been a dirty rat in the past, but these days, he has grown into a leader, and I strongly believe he will hold the Stanley Cup once again before he retires. #63 will hang on the rafters forever. What a man, what a hockey player, and what a gift to us Bruins fans. We all love ya Brad!!!!! Please never leave the Bruins. I personally would not be able to watch hockey if Marchand plays hockey in a different jersey.

@@aschwan41in defense of you, that Yzerman goal on Jon Casey was so iconic that it merited a couple of replays. It was such a pivotal goal, too. Had the Red Wings lost that particular series, that rivalry with the Avalanche never would have occurred and they very well might have not ever won a cup in any of the ensuing years.
