I’ve been looking into the concept for this series and it’s really interesting , based on a tradition of Chinese fine art ink painting of plum blossoms, which is hundreds of years old (since 11th/12th century). Yale university art gallery says ‘The plum, blooming in isolation at the end of winter when it is still often surrounded by snow, became a symbol of regeneration and of endurance under adversity.’ So it all makes more sense now and makes me appreciate the series even more, although i wonder if some of the images are associated with a particular artist or painting - does anyone know?

sooo sad I didn't nab one of these before they sold out 😭 I have two from the blind box set and they really are surprisingly solid and well made on top of being ridiculously cute, my only complaint is that the tails feel like a bit of an afterthought, even when the clothes have gaps to allow for them they don't seem to really "hang" well around the tail when it's attached. It's fun to see it in some other wigs though! I agree the little white braid is fun and meshes with the doll's original vibe surprisingly well.

@@antisocialxconstruct Ah i thought it was just my tail - it falls out a lot! I’m super glad I picked one up though, and yes the white wig works, i got it to do a Witcher look for my 1/4 bjd but it works for this one, it wasn’t expensive either.. which reminds me, I should post links to the ebay seller. The Witchy Lili special colour preorder kika has up is tempting! Ships in Jan/Feb.

Those bird plushes are so cute! I kind of wish they didn’t have the human faces though, I think they’d be cuter if they were just birds. I love magpies! When I lived in England, seeing them always cheered me up!
