The people here saying Chara is good are just as illiterate as the people who say they’re pure evil. Chara encouraged your genocide and calls you a failure for aborting the route, they wanted you to erase the world and commit genocide in other worlds, they also say “that was fun, let’s finish the job” in the demo

Thats actually really interesting. "A different path would be better suited" Chara assumes you're playing due to your sentiment to the game. And that maybe you'd get a better experience doing a pacifist route. (But by this stage its way too late. You'll never get thr true ending as you've sold your soul)

if you do pacifist after doing genocide the ending is slightly different but you can still do it

Why does Chara suggest doing a route other than genocide on repeat playthroughs, and then turn right around and erase the entire world whether you want to or not? Some people use this as "evidence" for Chara being "not evil", but if you do what he says and do a Pacifist route, he just kills everyone without your input anyway. Also he literally calls himself a demon lmfao

I doubt anyone'll red this but part of me wonders if the reason Chara suddenly has a moral objection to repeated genocide is that they have Frisk's soul, thus being able to feel more since they were soulless beforehand

My headcanon? There is a big difference between “power-hungry” and “sadistic”. Chara already got all the power they needed when they destroyed the world. The fact that the player does everything again must mean that they enjoy the process of killing.

Chara was adopted to a royal family, they most likely felt obligated to learn some big words. They also really wanted to seem mature when they were alive("big kids don't cry"), so they probably already knew some big words
