Best damn wire antenna you can build. Height really really helps above ground. We have one for 80m and 2,40m up at 100ft at n4ss. Sure gives the 40m yagi a run at 120ft. I started using flooded coax “75ohm” but that goo takes forever to get off to solder 😂

Forgot to mention to tie blocks on the ends of the chords going thru the pulleys to allow the antenna to free float in the wind. Also, these antennas do not like metal around them. I have a 70+ ft metal roof about 40 ft below the antenna which shows up in the vna analysis. Keep them away from large metal objects.

The moxon is hung horizontal from the trees in your video? I’m trying to figure out between the driven and reflector where your using the .6 pvc spacer does the spacer separate the reflector from the driven completely? I mean the ladder line is connected to the driven so the spacers never allows the reflector to contact the driven wire at all? Also one other question: In what ohm ladder line are you using and does it got straight to your rg8 coax or is there a 1:1 balun involved? Thanks in advance and I currently have a 160m loop up so I have the space for a few of these. 73

@@k1gmmgreenmountainmaniac251 hello Steve I just watched your delta loop vertical mounted at 40m I believe was at 140’. I have one mounted horizontal, but it’s a multiband fed with ladder. I’m wanting to now do a mono for 40m fed with a matching Q 75ohm. At 140’ divided by 4 to get my quarter wave length then multiply that by my VF of the rg11 that I’m going to use for my amplifier? Console. It was way better years ago. For the past few years it's been unstable on the audio side. I ran it on the anan and it worked excellent. It's got serious issues with how it handles audio processing and routing. It went sideways on me this afternoon. A shame. Can't use it. He ruined it from that aspect. I'd go back to a version from like 2016-18 (way more stable cat connected to a rig) in a heartbeat but the he's pretty much locked us out of that option.

It make me forget. Now I use. Presonus 68c with four port for mic and recording it helps . Also use a 10 port Sounddevice mixpre 10ii and some of the plugs . I can filter out al equipment noise also. This all suggestion. Thx 73s KG7JBL

I've spent 3 weeks in Ecuador recently. To buy this lens for that weather and conditions was the best decision I could've made. The versatility and sharpness are amazing. Yes, I usually shot birds @ 560mm f5.6, but many times I needed 200mm or rather 300mm for other animals or landscape photos. Zooming out many times when the birds were too close.

Would have loved to work stations from your region. But I have not heard any on 10m yet. Yesterday I could hear AB2O on CW on 20m. Could not reach him even after trying for nearly 30 min. 73 de Jon, VU2JO

I have used it for a scanner (1 rx for marine the other for airband). I like the filters , it's pretty good to play around with.
