It is NOT a dying Sport. It is the ACU that is KILLING it/
@trialstalk20 күн бұрын
Can you explain how you believe the ACU is killing the sport?
@billycraighealth19 күн бұрын
@trialstalk I think some of the ill feeling the past few years has been the lack of communication with riders, particularly regarding championships. Good to see podcasts like this drawing out some clarity, think we have a way to go but hopefully Sam is there to answer the questions that get brought up by riders and parents.
@trialstalk19 күн бұрын
Absolutely Billy, this is a step in the right direction, and as Sam also mentioned, we need more people involved... all too many people are quick to criticise, unfortunately.
@billycraighealth19 күн бұрын
@ if we now have open dialog between the union and members it can only head in a more positive direction. I’m sure a refresh will improve the view many hold. Fresh faces will no doubt bring more ability to interact online but for now thanks for seeking the clarity we all want 🥳👏🏻

Good discussion. We have trouble getting new riders and struggle to find interested youngsters. It's also troubling to see so many bikes not selling right now in the US. But we're damn sure gonna try to keep this amazing sport going.
@trialstalk20 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I think a lot of countries are struggling to introduce new young riders into the sport. It's something we need to all come together with. The Next-Gen Moto Trials is a great initiative in US👌

Laia Sanz is the best trials rider (she also does "enduro" type events) of all time, relative to her particular gender - right up there with Bou. World #4 at TWELVE years of age, for example. Also women's "enduro" champion when she got out of trials. Best female at Dakar. Even does well in auto racing. Not sure Bou could match all that. Emma is awesome, too.

I ride trials in the Uk and have holidayed in FL many times, we also have family there and I have lamented that there is so little countryside in FL for trials but...this video proves I haven't looked hard enough 🙂. Even though it's not Briton Hill ; at 6.50 that hillock must be the tallest peak in those parts? 🙂 Thanks for the upload.

Front wheel stopped turning, so that's a 5 in real trials. All this trick balancing stuff is clever, but it's not trials.

All the rules have their place, but if the sport wants to survive, it has to change with the times and engage with a younger audience. The stop allowed rules certainly take the pressure of the observers, and we need to do all we can in that respect as they're getting harder to come by, too.

I agree with Northern island having a British round, but I also think that the youth and ladies should be on the Saturday with the ACU TrialGB being on the Sunday, it just makes so much sense in my eyes, Great Vlog guys keep them coming

Thanks again, Neil. I think having all British Championships... Adult, Ladies & Youth, on the same weekend is what Barry has in mind. It seems to be the way some other federations run their national series.

Smage beat Toby a few years back at a rare indoor trials that Smage road in Europe. Last week Toby got a combined total of ONE point, over two days, in the NATC Pro Class. Impressive. Smage had 5 total combined points. The first day was all clean for both of them, then they had a ride-off, from what I heard. Fun!

What are the different number plate color classifications; yellow, red, green, etc? Thanks
@trialstalk9 ай бұрын
The Yellow plates are TrialGB class, Green are Trial 2 and White are Expert & 125(Youth). The Red plate indicates the Championship leader in each class.
