Why is it that everyone who hates Affirmative Action gets real quiet when it comes to legacy admissions? They have a problem with an African-American getting into Harvard with a 4.2 GPA but absolutely no problem with a prep school C-average rich kid like George W. Bush getting into Yale because his president pappy went there.

Why do they think about it? Just be entitled like the legacy admissions. They don't think twice.

Affirmative action is why all white people should ALWAYS check “mixed race” whenever you’re asked your race. It will NEVER be to your disadvantage to do so, and can only benefit you. Secondly, nobody can prove you’re not mixed race. Example: I thought Mariah Carey was white until recently. Nobody can make you prove your race. You will be offered jobs and other benefits for being “not white.”

If you’re middle class or blue collar, do not go near the rich kids. Trust me. Stay focused, study as hard as you can and stay oriented on your career in terms of being of service to the world. Your rich friends will adopt and implement narcissistic ‘luxury beliefs’ like Marxism, feminism, and wokeness, to compensate for the unconscious sensation that they’re frauds because they partied & didn’t invest themselves in a transformative way. Don’t associate with them, because the more familiar they are with you, the more they’ll act out their ideology on you to score social points with their woke friends. Always be nice to the rich kids - always be friendly, but be like a ghost. They will always have money, and they’re guaranteed their careers. You’ll have a life after college, they’ll be gone, and all you’ll have is what you worked for, Now get to work ☕️

6:52 Planner. 7:56 Test Analysis. 8:54 Self Journaling. Mistakes to consider 1. Don't skip anything while studying 2. Don't Hesitate to ask doubts. 3. Try to do complete chapters yourself if skipped by coaching. 4. Don't skip chapters which forms the basis of engineering. 5. If in 11th grade please don't slack off to reduce the burden in 12th

They are different bc with affirmative action you still have to be qualified. With legacy you don’t. The reason why affirmative action became a thing was because even when qualified blacks were not being giving the opportunity to be accepted. Also once white women were considered a minority they became the number 1 group that benefitted from it.

I understand the purpose of legacy admission and I seriously doubt they will do away with it because the culture of Harvard is historically based on a certain group of people and it's not Asians, Blacks or Hispanics. It will no longer be Harvard if they change the culture too much. The cultural environment and educational experience are two different things.

I went to Harvard years ago. I wouldn’t recommend it now. It’s run by woke idiots. You’ll get an indoctrination, not an education. Get a job instead.

Legacy admission and Affirmative Action are two separate things. African American wanted equal opportunities to access higher education and quality of life. When we fought for it, it was due to evidence based redlining and discriminatory practices. Remember many Asians wanted to remove although the movement was originally not started by them. Many did not realize they reaped the benefits of AA. Now that is removed, you want to complain about it-You reap what you sow.

Well, it was because of black people actions that allowed Asians to come into good old USA and fulfilled their American dream and now some of these Asians talking crap. I bet if it was for white people they Asians wouldn't be saying anything. If they don't like the policy, then they should create their own university.

+nattidread5844 *"Well, it was because of black people actions that allowed Asians to come into good old USA"* Bullshit. Chinese railroad workers were being imported and abused far before the civil rights movement. *"If they don't like the policy, then they should create their own university."* Okay. In that case, if black people don't like merit-based college admissions, then how about they create their own university too instead of asking for a handout to get into Harvard?

I especially liked how you waited until the end of the video to tell me to like and subscribe because that’s how it’s done right there. this is the first video I’ve seen from this account and I subscribed about 2m in and hit like a few later after realizing you don’t play some unnecessary music in the background. FINALLY. It’s truly a miracle 10/10

There’s definitely no cringe in this class. The instructors are actually super chill and interesting people. I had LOADS of fun, and got to surf with lots of foreigners who I would never met outside of our curiosity for surfing. I love the diversity of the surf instructors too, not just one nationality sharing the stoke!
