26:03 I don't believe that Dickens *was* "one of those people who had business savvy but also could write. I think he had business savvy and was a massive plagiarist, and an imposter when it came to writing, social reform and religion. I came at this conclusion by discovering the real authors of "A Christmas Carol," namely an American couple named Mathew and Abby Whittier. I've learned, after 15 years of intensive independent research, that Dickens merely reworked their spiritualist redemption novella into a "Ghost Story of Christmas" within six weeks for quick cash, to avoid falling into debt. He called it a "little scheme."

Wow just wow!! Luther would be so happy! He knew music is so important. I was a French teacher and not one of my fellow 50 French teachers in our travels in France could or would sing! I am glad i am a Lutheran!

It's nice to think that there's a social change when it comes to race but there isn't as long as you have parents raising their kids to be racist and them raising their kids to be racist it's always going to be alive and well. So when you hear all this talk about ending racism it'll never happen

So 'students of color' are so fragile that they must be coddled and praised so their fee fees don't get hurt.

scientifically, there is no such thing as race race is a social construct
@paxhumana20153 жыл бұрын
First of all, believing in bullshit concepts like the so-called "races" and Evolution are precisely why racism exists, and anyone that argues otherwise is a part of the damn problem instead of part of the fucking solution. Second, how about people of ALL skin, hair, and eye colors simply learn to not be assholes towards one another in their lives? Wow, what a fucking novel concept, am I right?

I agree that white people are granted privileges than people of color. The form of policing was built on white people to control people of color.

This song is so special. My grandparents brought this over from Sweden in the late 1800's. It has been sung always at every one of my family's wedding, baptisms, confirmation, children's sermons and funerals. When first presented to the Swedish King he adopted it for use in Sweden. Prior to his edict this song was not used in Swedish Lutheran churches cuz it was too folksy. History has shown us how vital such music is. I have myself sung this song a great deal over the past decades. Many listeners have commented on how this was their favorite song that I have sung in churches. This fall I get to sing it in front of a group of semi-pro musicians and distinguished guests. That honor and privilege overwhelms me. I am doing it in both Swedish and English. I hope it brings the house down. Pray for me, please. Me How fitting for it to be sung by this choir in Luther's church. :-)

It is the class of 2018, because that's when they will graduate Augustana. They were the class of 2014 at their respective high schools.

This video should be required viewing for anyone wanting to lead a happy/successful life. When I worked at PepsiCo, I had tremendous respect for Brenda, At the time, she was a brand manager. Now as then, she is brilliant, focused, hard-working and I have never seen a better role-model. Listen carefully, her words are priceless.

Every year we try to come up with a fun but meaningful way to say "Merry Christmas." Last fall, an ambitious first-year student, Andrew Skalak, started working in our Student Video Bureau, and we handed him the holiday challenge. He's turned in his work and we're giving Andrew an A (and probably more projects). Merry Christmas to you and your family from Augustana College.
