I only know about Strider Hiryu from the Marvel vs. Capcom Infinity game, but never the standalone game(s) - everything else on the list I have never heard about until now.

Now there is a reason why the PS1 days are referred to as the golden days of the Final Fantasy franchise - not only we got *three* mainline games for that generation, but they’re also great games that defined a generation! FFVII at 92 (#13) , FFVIII at 90 (#28), and FFIX at 94 (#4) - what more can you ask for!? 😁

Yeah the PS1 is my personal favourite console. The things that could be done with that console at the time were mince blowing. Happily that franchise is going strong still. Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Really appreciate it.

Awesome video by you, but Metacritic are useless. I’m sorry but what the heck were Metacritic taking, to come up with this list. For one Spyro 3 made it whilst completely forgetting about Spyro 2 - the best one out of the 3. Spider-Man should’ve been up higher on the list, whilst Ape Escape should’ve been a bit lower.

Ahh yes Spider-Man 1 for the PS1, a game that I played to death cause it was that good. Also when I saw Crash 2 pop up I was instantly hit with memories of rage, when I 100% it the N Sane Trilogy and the PS1 version - the N Sane Trilogy came so close to breaking me mentally haha

2:15 Parasite Eve doesn't get spoken about nearly enough as it should - and it's one IP I'm praying CAPCOM revives! 5:00 Resident Evil 3: Nemesis ... what a game! The first time in the franchise we had moments where "choices mattered" ... but the Nemesis was next level as a boss!

1:13 even though I loved Chrono Trigger, I've never tried Chrono Cross. Now I'm gonna have to! 2:11 I loved Tomb Raider, Laura Croft was one of the first female protagonist I played as. BTW F*#@ that T-Rex! 3:04 Final Fantasy Tactics still remains one of my top favorite from the franchise and I feel like its very underrated 7:18 the Mega Man franchise is one of my favorite of all time and Mega Man X4 was so cool because its the first time we got to choose to play as Zero from beginning to end!(The voice acting in X4 was atrocious though) Awesome list so far! 👍

I still bear the scars of 100% the first 3 Crash games haha. Those games were such an engine of rage, especially the DLC level. The analog stick controls were a real finger killer, also from managing to 100% Ape Escape for the very first time, I can safely say that - I hate monkeys haha.

i really miss the days of heading to the shop and picking up a new game, getting back home, putting the disc in and being able to play a finished, working game with no updates or micro transactions. thems were the days haha

A very detailed, informative and impressive list. Really looking forward to part 2. The only games on this I haven't played were = Suikoden, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid & *Gran Turismo (played V Rally more, to the point where the disc was scratched beyond repair lol). Everything else was a massive nostalgia wave, Abe's Odysee scared the daylights out of me, way back when - still does to this day haha. Spyro easily my favourite in this video - plus made by my favourite company. Only recently introduced to the Final Fantasy genre - the TCG included.

thank you for your kind comment. PS1 was what started my love of gaming, i had SNES before that but PS1 was where my heart was. the main memory of Abe's odyssee was being able to fart at the touch of a button. i think all games should have that feature :)
