Thanks for this putty comparison video! I really liked it. I have these puttys in my stash which were all recommended to me. They could be good ones to test out for future videos. Randa's crafty corner, joy's putty, putty by cat, and crafts with crashley ribbit stick-it. So I've been going thru and trying them all out. I am really liking using glue dots in my single placer.

What diamond painting are you working on?

I really love Randa's Crafty Corner putty. It is so far the best putty I've found that works great with ABs from the get-go. Most other putty just sticks the F to them, lol.

Thank you for the well thought out video. I'm a heavy placer and have fought with finding a good putty for me for more than a year. They are either too stringy and/or stick to the abs so badly I have to use tweezers to place them. I've tried nearly a dozen products so far and haven't been impressed with any. I just ordered the alien putty. Fingers crossed I've found the perfect product for me.

This was an awesome video thank you so much for spending the time to make it. It gives me great ideas on a new putty to try. I just use Gorilla Mounting Putty that you get at the store. It works decently for me. If you want to try that in your comparison video that would be cool. Thank you again for this video

Hey Anthony! I checked the DD site, and The release date of Train to Tokyo was June 12, 2024 so it was before they changed their drill field and drills. They started implementing the changes in October around Halloween! I have also put of doing the squares I have from fear of gapping, but from the pictures I’ve seen of the newer kits it looks like a much tighter drill field, and I’m glad you’re going into it with a positive mindset. I definitely want to buy from them again and try the new updated kits!

Hi Anthony, I recently tried a square drill canvas from Dreamer Designs again, called Christmas Mailbox, which I purchased back in March. At the time, I heard from a couple of creators that the canvas grids were tightened up and the drills were improved. However, I just completed it and like you, I found a lot of gapping. It's most noticeable in the background where there is a lot of color blocking with light colors. I used mica powder, but it's still not great. I do have a round one so I hope I have a better experience with that one. I'm working on one from Oraloa now and it's amazing! I look forward to your putty comparison. I'm a hard presser also and use single and multi-placers so I'm curious to see which one lasts the longest before having to change it out. I'm happy that your date was a success and I wish you the best of luck with him. Keep us posted. 💜

Bummer about the Dreamer Designs gapping. I went and checked and saw that one was released in June so I still have hope for the newer ones I purchased on Cyber Monday. Conversely I just finished my first Oraloa, that one had absolutely no gapping, you can't make a grid any tighter. If things go as planned I'll be starting Cosmic Spiral in about a month, fingers crossed for improved spacing.

I also kit up by numerical order. Makes the most sense to me, especially in large kits where I dont want to have to go searching through my entire for the right symbol or DMC.

My favorite season is Fall because it's so hot in the summer, I enjoy the reprieve from the heat. I also enjoy Spooky season & Thanksgiving! I love the fall Mucha season as well!

Hey Anthony, I look forward to your putty comparison video. Have you tried glue dots? I have been using them and it's been working great in my single placer! My favorite season is fall. I got married during that season and I just love the colors and apple picking / pumpkin spice.

My favorite season is definitely Autumn! One of my daughters even has that name! That’s one reason why I am obsessed with your current Mucha. I’ve been trying to hold off on purchasing it… It has those Autumn vibes in is beautiful!

I got some good ideas. I like the idea of using the sticker sheet as the legend a lot. I use stickers for extra colors anyway. I also need to get the easy remove labels. It’s annoying trying to get my stickers off. I live in Arizona, so dry air and static are always a problem😅.

It’s interesting how many different ways of kitting up there are. Personally I have to order the containers by symbol because I have to put the letter symbols and number symbols in order, then the remaining symbols in an order that makes sense to me.
