I'm not sure anymore it was "literally nothing". There was a police investigation about it, and according to the Swedish police's statements to the media there will very likely be charge. The crime they investigated was "illegal threat" loosely translated, so no physical contact for example, but it sounds serious anyway. But I do understand he was under very much pressure under the whole week plus under the situation itself, it's not too surprising someone would snap. HOWEVER I do think the DQ was an overreaction instead of a warning or a short ban. The very least they could have done was play the semifinal performance during the grand final

i think people aren't giving nemo enough credit for how hard vocally their song is to sing let alone give a great performance with. I loved Croatia but I think he used way too much auto tune in his live performance for me to like it more than the code. But also #justiceforjoost

I agree about the vocals being on whole another level. Also at least for me the staging/visuals weren't on the same level in Croatias performance. I suspect they would have gotten more jury points if that aspect was developed more. Though it may also just be about personal taste. The dance move is ICONIC, however, and easy for the crowd to do too which is sth Nemo didn't have at all. I wonder if the juries take that into account at all because it plays a huge part in making the performance more fun and engaging

@@vohol6158 i thought The Code was done really well visually there just wasn't as much color but it made Nemo stand out more while it was hard to see BL at some points because the lights were so intense, but at the end of the day its a song contest not a visual one. Visual's do help sell the song but vocals and the lyrics are what is being judged technically.

@@1SmB1fAn ESC hasn't been a pure "song" competition in a long time now. You can discuss if it's wrong or not, but the fact is that the whole package is what people see and obviously also have opinions about. I do think the song is still the most essential component, and I'm sure there are some voters (like you, if I understand correctly) who only focus on the song. But most viewers definitely take into account the whole package they're presented with. Even juries are instructed to look at the whole picture. In the jury criteria it says: "Juries are asked to focus their vote on 4 main sets of criteria: Vocal capacity of the artist(s) Performance on stage Composition and originality of the song Overall impression of the act"
