Hi Priscila, I want to do product and portrait photography. I have a Sony A7R-V camera with a Sony 24.70 G master II lens. What lens do you recommend? Or is the lens I have sufficient? Budget is not a problem. Thank you.

I have been using manual more lately. I will pick a scene and play with auto and manual. I find it difficult but fun and challenging. I use a 70D and love it. It’s very satisfying to come away with a beautiful photo that I shot in manual. Thanks for your videos. 👍👍

As well as having big boobs I also have a broad back so I always look bigger than everyone else in he photo. It's so disturbing to me. I don't seem able to hide how big my upper body is. I am no a size 16 top and 12 bottom. I've tried all these tips and they don't work, so the only thing that helps is if I just get photos of my shoulders and face otherwise you just see big boobs which is awful. My waist looks thick as I don't have decent hips. I would love some ideas to try and sort out what to do. Thanks x

Thank you for the tips, but I’m never eating again after using the back camera of my iPhone 14 Pro! (Kidding) but I will say that I am so upset at the back camera. The distortion is so bad my face looks a lot fatter than the front camera of my phone, my chin looks lopsided, I look older, fat and Nothing like when I use the front camera. They say you should be secure with yourself no matter what but this was extremely shocking and I wasn’t kidding about the diet part!

Thank you. I am concerned that I will save things to an external hard drive but it might be outdated in a few years. Is that a real worry??? Also, I have 30 yrs of photos/videos - personal, social media, etc. Any advice on how to sort them? I've been doing it manually and it takes foreverrrrr. 😆

It’s true though. DSLR photos do this, we did family photos and everyone looks wide and flat.

All good common sense but definitely lean toward Tamron, equally as good as a stock lens at near 2/3 the price. Totally agree about Zooms,, the Canon the 24-105 is probably the worst lens I ever owned, gave it away.

For product photography, I use: 55mm f/3.5 Nikkor macro for Nikon SLR 105mm f/2.8 Nikkor macro for Nikon SLR 105mm f/4 Nikkor macro for Nikon SLR 140mm f/4.5 Mamiya macro for RB67 medium format SLR 135mm f/5.6 Fujinon for 4x5 inch large format view camera My favorite for portraits is 105mm f/2.8 Nikkor macro. My favorite for products is the 105mm f/4 Nikkor macro. The 105mm f/4 Nikkor macro and the 135mm f/5.6 Fujinon are my favorites for products that need perspective control.

Yongnuo and Godox are great for the money. But if you shoot outdoors, Canon flagships (like 600ex ii-rt) are the only weather sealed speedlites to Canon cameras. If you shoot only indoors, it doesn't matter, of course. And like you already said, the build quality is on a totally different level. Canon flagships are reliable, both in build quality and in mechanics. You can trust them to fire everytime. My Godox and Yongnuo keeps letting me down sometimes and it's so annoying when you miss the shot and notice it when it's too late. I keep all 3 brands. But Canon is the only one I can really trust in every situation, even in rain outside.

Why recommend the wide open lenses when using flash with product photos you’ll be shooting around f16 for sharpness? I have the 24-70 and the 70-200 both f4 from cannon. The 135 prime from cannon is considered to be the sharpest lens of all time. I was just looking at the 90 Macro prime from Tammron is listed at +$300 for cannon and under $200 for a Sony. I don’t have a macro lens currently and was setting up to shoot some product test shoots when I discovered that my lenses won’t work for details such as labels and things on products smaller than a coffe mug, so I’m glad you made this video because I wasn’t sure what actually to do next. Although it’s worth pointing the place to start should probably be the 90 or 100 or 135 macro lens. There is also a 180 prime from cannon for about $300 and which I’ve heard takes really nice portraits and product shots as well: I just don’t see the need to tell folks to buy a more expensive wide open lens when they’ll never shoot products with a flash that wide open because the key to producing great product shoot is everything needs to be in focus, ie capture the details.

Hi Priscilla just stumbled upon your KZbin channel. Hope all is well with you and Luca and the rest of your family ? Looking forward to when you will start making videos again. Perhaps you could do some vlogs which include your time with your family. Just an idea as it would be great to see you creating more. Blessings from Western Australia.
