Most if not all Salmon caught from the wild have parasites. Some are harmless, tapeworm is not something you want. 24 hour if you have flash freeze. or regular home freezer for a least 1 full week. GL

We did freeze it but definitely not for 24 hours. Hope we’ll be ok lol. This was ocean and not river salmon, not sure if that makes a difference. 😬

I was there in Seattle that weekend!! I had no idea this was happening. I picked a random beach just to dip my feet quickly. I parked and saw a bunch of people setting this up! I wish I could have stayed longer but was only to stay for an hour before going to another event. It was wild to see a community out there.

It funny when you mentioned frog and then said toads. made me think do anybody eat toads? because my experience with toad is the cane toad i saw especially in kaui where walking down the road you see them crushed by the cars. but nothing can eat a cane toad they ooze poison from their skin. But i look it up i guess thai people eat the asiatic toads so maybe some toads are not poison nice video of home lao food

This woman really has a great spirit and an energy to this struggle with trauma of the war and also forced immigration and the feeling of isolation. Mental health is so important especially in populations of color. They have found that the traumas of war can be passed down at least two generations after those who actually witnessed the trauma of war. I am so glad that she is taking on the work in her community it is important work and she still has such a great attitude. Mental health is so much worked by whites who some can really care but other just can not know what it to be a person of color. Mental health is so ignored by many asian community and it has been cause of some bad actions. But south east asian have even more trauma because of the war in vietnam cambodia and laos that was happening decades before the americans even were involved. This has made these communities even more hard to move up and out of some of the lower economics areas and made the useual difficult immigration struggle even harder and caused these populations to have more struggles with the law as well. When she said she saw no other lao out in the world that she thought she was strange. it reminds me of when i took a constuction class where we built a house this was the early 90s and it really educated me in the different between asian we had vietnamese cambodians chinese and lao. we had two quiet men who worked hard but were quiet in the arguments between the cambodian and the chinese guy. one day i asked them where were they from and they said laos i said oh i have not met many lao here in oakland they were surprised i even knew where Laos was and it made them happy. I am so glad that america knows so much about lao vietnamese and cambodians it a good thing it makes are country a way better place. Thanks Dennis for another great video
