I love this song, but I can't unsee that interpretive dance. Now every time I hear this song that's all I can think of! 😂

My father had a brain tumor thar took him when I was young, but several years before that, he cheated on my mom, leading to their divorce. My mom threw herself in to her work, partially to provide for us, and partially to cope. My father was the rotting elephant carcass in the room that was never addressed. My mom only remarried this year, so I grew up without any sort of father figure or male role model, and a mom who was emotionally distant at the best of times. Being a kid at the dawn of the internet age, I found sites I had no business being on, and became addicted. I'm sure you can guess what I'm implying. Which eventually going down a dark road in my late 20s. But this yeae, to out it bluntly, God has been beating me over the head with his love. I've been trying to end my addiction to those sites, but its been hard. I went a little over three weeks recently, but then some life drama happened, and I turned right back to it. I started to type something in to my search bar this morning, and this song started playing in my head. It was the reminder that I needed that these sites will never give me what I really want or need. Only He can. So I closed the browser and walked away.

I was agnostic until age 33 when a girl I was dating said "Oh my god'" about something. My Sunday school lessons came back to me, and I told her that I knew she wasn't cursing but was saying God without thinking of who or what He is. She got defensive and said that God knew that she was not being disrespectful. I assured her that I was not on her case but just didn't want her to be in trouble with God if there is one. I had a back injury from an auto accident when I was in college, and three vertebrae had pinched nerves. I had to be very careful about lifting and couldn't play sports. When I said "If there is one" my back began cracking from my neck down to my tailbone, and it was HEALED. That ended my agnosticism right there. Praise the Lord!!!
