Hi, please be careful, I recommend only wearing them with a teacher's permission and supervision in class. Do not rush the process, flat shoes are still beautiful and help you build necessary strength and technique. I do not want you to get injured and or develop bad habits. Pretty port de bra, good head and arm movement.

Hi! I’ve been doing ballet for a year and I’m also on Demi pointes but my teacher and many others said that it’s very dangerous to go on full point in these shoes if your putting weight on your feet so you can only if 2 feet are on the floor and the highest you could go with weight on your feet is 3 courters.

I did ballet as a kid and did pointe back then as well, and returned to ballet last year as well as pointe, and I started ice skating too. I am a beginner but some ballet skills I have learned since a kid help me in ice skating.

I have those green trash bag pants but in black and they looks so cute on you! I don't think they look that good on me but maybe its just because they are black and idk how to style them😅

Adult figure skater here, and ballet is definitely a very good compliment to figure skating! I only took one class (a very beginner one) the summer of 2023, and I definitely felt like it helped with my skating. What things are you working on in your skating?

@@janetslater129 Yes! I’ve really been enjoying it so far! I definitely think it’ll help with arm movements and just posture. I’m working on flying camel and axel but not really seeing much improvement lol

As a dancer, I am confused on why she is wearing dress tights in the video and not dance tights. You think other dancers would not notice?

@@ootdcritic Hi thanks for the comment! They are Capezio dance tights actually, not regular dress tights. Just not the convertible ones. I also wouldn’t care either way or who noticed as I don’t really care what others think😍😍

@@ootdcritic That’s okay! Really? Yes they have them in every color at every dance store I’ve been in. I also wear Capezio for my ice skating tights as well, that’s why I originally got the full footed ones but definitely will need the convertible ones too soon!

I am sorry you've had so many challenges with figure skating. I was shocked to hear how much more they are pricing the sessions! I remember you looked at several rinks, can you switch to another one? I hope you don't get too discouraged and keep following this passion, I think these things are part of the journey and help us grow as athletes. Good luck💓

@@maeskates I know! It definitely has hindered my motivation for sure 🥹 there is one other rink but they have even less public sessions and just as expensive. I’m gonna go this week and try and get back into the swing of things! I’m definitely excited to skate at the outdoor rinks coming up so I need to get some practice in before then. Thank you!💕

Stunning! I'm also on a pre-pointe journey, returning back to ballet after 10 years. If you have convertible tights, I like to put my ouch pouch on my bare foot and then wrap my tights around it. Feels like it's more secure to my foot. :)

I’d love to do figure skating as well. I feel like, wouldn’t I do ballet for life, it would be this. Looks both so ethereal und beautiful and athletic. Don’t have a place to start near by and Ballet is expensive enough, so unfortunately I can’t start. But I love to watch it ❤

@@Ohana1-l4y I know! I love both so much! That’s kinda what took me so long to get started in ballet, was because everything is so expensive! My skating kinda slowed down so I was able to start! You should definitely try it whenever you have the opportunity though💕

@@Rosiefiguresitout It both is sooo expensive 😫 The classes or space to train, the outfits, the exams, the shoes (I don’t know how fast the skates die or if they die, but pointe shoe lives are like flies). And the whole equipment for cross training, yoga math, yoga blocks, therabands, stretching bands, weights, roll outs, and all the tape, toe pads, gels, massages, healthy food gadgets… holy moly. I can’t spend money for basically anything else. I’m training for a professional career, so it’s even more expensive cause my shoes last only about one, maybe two months. And that’s actually long 🥲 as soon as I get a contract I’ll may have the opportunity to start 😂 until then I only can enjoy watching it. And to Christmas 😅

@@Ohana1-l4y Lol yes the skates do die but they definitely last longer than a month! And yes so much gear! Luckily for me a lot of the equipment I use for off ice can be used for ballet as well, bands and such! You can also self teach! I pretty much taught myself most of the jumps/spins myself since the group lessons I was in taught very slow paced. It helped me improve a lot quicker😍 skating at Christmas is 😘

Hey girl! great idea to do ballet, it definitely helps with figure skating. Just tiny feedback about the video (if I may and with the best intentions): there is no audio between 5:24 and 6:39 and also the volume of your voice in different clips varies and the music is usually louder so we have to turn the volume up and down constantly, it would be great if you can equalize the volume through out the video :) Also between mins 14 and 16 you have the same clip twice😅

Oh gosh! I’m so sorry! That’s so annoying, I fixed the sound multiple times but it keeps changing after I save it. Thought it was fixed 😢. I also just make them on my phone so I’m sure that has something to do with it. And I hate watching the videos back since this one was longer than normal. Thank you for pointing it out though! I will try to correct these things in my next videos❤
