We live in Maine and have used Amica for about 50 years. Can you tell us why Amica closed its Maine office? We recently had an inlaw try to insure their home, after moving to Maine, and they got less than ideal service.

Making a tear-jerking commercial to lure in new customers doesn’t give an insurance company empathy. Nothing does-insurance companies are for-profit entities, which means that they must ensure that their payouts don’t come close to matching their premiums, or else they cease to be. All this commercial does is sucker idiots into believing otherwise.

Don’t confuse Amica’s self-sponsored, self-serving ad campaign about empathy with the reality of what they do…Amica clearly lacked empathy after we claimed for a new roof due to hail damage. They paid up but then flat out refused to renew the policy when it was due…for no reason. So the evidence, the reality is Amica has a financial priority to just cherry pick who they renew and who they do not. Insure with AARP in the USA if you can. A better policy, at lower cost and with empathy!

This is one of like three commercials I've actively looked for outside my inital viewing. I saw it at a football watch party and it stuck with me until the next day. Genuinely beautiful and I'm tearing up a bit as I write this

Very rarely do I stop to watch the ads, but the music for this one kept me watching. And then, wow, the cinematography and direction were actually good. And then the message was actually solid. I'll probably never need to use Amica Insurance, but I won't forget this commercial.
