Its a ford. I dont buy ford. But in my benz its as easy as a small cover plate and the bulds twist off and on without disconnecting and harnesses. "But mercedes have alot of problems and hard to work on" no tf their not litteraly everything is mechanic friendly to the point of me thanking the engineers instead of getting pissed off at them for a stupid design and they extremly reliable IF TALEN CARE OF i see them running over 200k miles no problem. IN FACT i have one in my drive way with ovee 270k miles on it and STILL RUNS AND DRIVES just needa clutch

Just buy a jump pack and completely avoid all these steps. Or will a jump pack not work?

you can also start the vehicle but just make sure the radio and headlights are off so when you disconnect the battery while the car is running it won’t shut off and you can change the battery without resetting your car

Always pre soak with apc or soap

Never did the last part. Did the swap as he shows but never went in to reset. After the swap the vehicle worked as normal. 🤷‍♂️ never had an issue. If I do reset the computer I leave the negative terminal unplugged for 30 min and it resets

You have to do a bcm or battery learning value reset or the battery wont last too long!!

Dude theres a process for taking off a battery and putting it back so you dont blow up the battery so for removing you did it right but putting it back on you go red first then the black

Your car is manual you could have jump started it with the clutch just have someone push it and start it in 3rd gear

starter first? I don't know the symptoms but if your battery is 9.6 v you gonna have the same issue happen again in the near future. Test the battery and charge it or replace it if it test bad. If that battery is around 4-5 yo then you good but if it's newer then get your charging system tested. Save some money man, don't throw parts at it, get the parts tested first before replacing. I'd you did all this then good in you, you know what's up

Also ik its probably a little early, but if that truck has been sitting for a bit and has a edelbrock carburetor on it, they loose their tune mostly idle circuit in them. But their easy to rebuild and a rebuild kit cost about $50 if it ever does have issues

A tip for the fuel pump, i struggled alot my first time replacing it, i just took a fat glob of grease and put it on the upper part on the rod and it stayed

At Walmart, atleast where i live. They have Valvoine VR1 oil that is in 10w-30 or 20w-50 but they both have the zinc needed for the flat tappet cam in the engine. I run the 20w-50 in the summer and the 10w-30 in winter in my 1986 K2500 plow truck

Some people run diesel rated oil but I think 10-30 could be just fine

Put a plank on top of the Jack pad….it keeps the tank from tipping even if it still has fuel even if it’s full…I don’t pump them out normally… Dropping a tank in the rust belt …..top full of dirt, rust, and gravel….
