I think Cait & Vi will be back and they clearly alive and together,but I can not wait for the reveal that Jinx did survive and whenever they decide to do a show in BilgeWater, The pirate area and There will be Jinx going "ah! It's me Your Vile Villainess,The author of your nightmares.....wait...sorry old habits die hard.Cait did figure out Jinx survived,but I don't think she told Vi, I think Jinx would actually have appreciated that,since Jinx leaving was her own way to break the cycle,because let's be honest if Vi knew Jinx was alive, she would go searching for her despite what Jinx told her about deserving to be happy with Cait. Anyhow I am a CaiVi shipper but also a Timebomb shipper can't lie, maybe Ekko will find out Jinx is alive and needs her help. It won't be for awhile, but I know we will see Cait,Vi and Jinx again at some point. I did find it cool Jinx kept her long Young Silco bang,she just dyed it, her new hairstyle looked cool,even though Jinx's braids are iconic.

Still think Embessa is more deserving of hate; a war criminal, colonizer, child-killer, claims she's doing it all to 'protect' her children when her actions and lust for power is what put her children in danger and ultimately her son killed... that's to name a few of the reasons she deserves hate.

I'm woman enough to admit that I was fooled by Maddie. I thought she was just a cute girl with a crush on Caitlyn (like most of us) and the hate she was getting was unwarranted. But I think one of the writers confirmed that she is indeed a Noxian so yeah she was working with Ambessa the whole time which is just-😅

Yeah the showrunners have always said (both in the documentary and interviews) that Arcane was always meant to be 2 seasons only and a stepping stone into other shows, so I wasn't surprised. Also according to many League fans, the fandom was actually pleasantly surprised that the show made Piltover/Zaun (which is the least interesting region of the game apparently) and its characters actually great. But there's WAY more popular champions and regions which they are highly anticipating to have shows centered around. Noxus being one of the main so Mel is definitely coming back; what we saw of Ekko's abilities in s2 is apparently also only a fraction of what he can do, so I'm sure he'll be in future shows. And finally Jinx who I think has some important relationships w/ main champions from other regions too. So while I don't think they will all be main characters in future shows, those 3 are the ones I predict that we will *definitely* see again.

Every time Maddie is talking to Caitlyn, except for discussing when Isha pulled that stunt while wearing the hood and cape, she is trying to get information about people who might hate Noxus, or trying to get Caitlyn to step down as Commander. Ambessa gambled that Caitlyn would be easy to manipulate, but she turned out to be wrong.

NEW League of Legends rating, ESRB Rating: M Blood, Fantasy Violence, Mild Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco and Featuring Characters who had Sex In a Different Medium. I don't believe that Riot would cut down the Caitlyn and Vi sex scene because they didn't want the perspective of their games to change. If you look at other franchises that spand multiple mediums, there is a lot of variety in how they do their own thing. Take the Marvel Cinematic Universe for example. Most of everything has followed the PG-13 trend in terms of how it depicts it's world, but later the studios have been allowing for a lot more leeway. Biggest example? Deadpool and Wolverine being rated R and releasing on Disney +. Not to mention the other other more mature oriented shows that take place in a fairly family friendly MCU universe like Echo and the upcoming Daredevil series. Lesson? Both Arcane and the video video game it's based on can be their own thing and still succeed. Now please put the sex scene back in all it's intended glory so I can weep tears of joy all over again.

I think the original reasoning and some context is missing. Based on what Arcane show runner said: it’s cut due to a convoluted legal issue. Regulators said that Arcane counts as promotion for League of Legends, so changing rating of Arcane would affect League’s ratings too, which would be a huge problem. That’s the point when they got slap on a wrist Same with the news about cutting the final episode duration: it wasn’t Netflix who said that it’s too much, it was Fortiche who said that 1:20 episode is too much to handle

@@slavabasique Again, none of that makes any sense. The game and the series are two completely different entities. They may be associated with each other, but to change the ratings based on what one does with it's content is just flat out disingenuous. And I think Arcane as a show deserves more credit than being labeled as a "promotional material" for the game.

I agree that it is stupid, but that's what their lawyers told them to do. I work in a similar field and, trust me, that's not the wildest and stupidest thing related to rating boards that I've heard. And of course it is a great show and it is much more then an ad. Exact reasoning is me making an educated guess, but still it is consider a promotion for League. Probably because it is made by Riot directly, and maybe the fact that League has a lot of skins or whatnot related to Arcane -- regulators draw a straight line between then. Even tho I disagree with the logic that Arcane ratings whatever they might be should affect League's one, denying that Arcane is in a fact a promo for League (or Riot games in general) would be also wrong. Even if they're doing it in the best faith, and just want everyone to have cool experience making/watching it -- it still costs 250M bucks that have to come from somewhere.

100% confirmed by Amanda Overton now.....MADDIE WAS INDEED NOXIAN ALL ALONG!!!!!! And I feel so vindicated now that it was also confirmed by the lead writer!!! Maddie was a plant all along!! - Maddie called her "commander" before Ambessa actually named her Commander - Maddie was the first to beat her chest - Pulled from the car-thing during the memorial attack by huge Shimmer suit dude and NOT killed - Maddie was in bed (god that still makes me sick) trying to get Cait to see Ambessa is trying to “protect them” - Maddie was eaves dropping at the door when Cate & Vi had their argument about Powder - Maddie was carrying the bomb…and also sabotaged it - Maddie showed ZERO remorse or hesitation in pulling the trigger Then there is what Ambessa told Vi in Episode 6...."your absence provided a vacuum I was able to fill." She could have been meaning herself...but it is 100% confirmed now that she meant Maddie. Cait wasn’t anything to Maddie…she was a job.

I don't think she was Noxian, because there is no way they would recuit a foreigner as an Enforcer. Just look at how controversial it was for Vi to become an Enforcer since she was from Zaun. It is more likely she was a local recuited to the cause at some point.

nah, the worst character is easily VI, that woman cannot do a single thing right, but tbh, i blame it on the fact that the show couldn't be done with more time, so it felt rushed and some decisions rather dumb for it. let it sink in, vi was raw scissoring in a prison cell knowing full well her sister was going to kill herself

Also kinda pushed Vi to become an enforcer as well, which caused a lot of conflict between Vi and Jinx. All around an asshole character.

Wasn't it Caitlyn who was the cause of this tho ? In the first season Vi being accompanied by Caitlyn was what caused most of the distrust Jinx had towards her. Vi then shows great care for Caitlyn in front of Jinx which made it even worst. Caitlyn then in season 2 ask Vi to join the enforcers, and she is also the one that spread the info that Vi was joining even before asking her. Maddie does offer her a hand and welcomes her in their team which pushes Vi to join for sure but it has very little effect on Vi compared Caitlyn's actions, hell even Jinx' actions which is the main reason why she enrolls, to take care of her sister herself. Let's not blame everything on one specific characters undermining other's faults and responsibilities. Maddie has one of the coolest lines of the season if not the series, a very cool "asshole" character Imo. ✨

The Cait-Vi scene was cut because it effected the age rating (14+ to 18+). Apparently it was animated to a pretty high level before being cut.

What next? Nothing. The story of Vi and Jinx in particular has come to an end. As much as many people would have loved to see it go on, I sincerely believe it would not have served the plot in any way, risking a massive failure like Game of Thrones. God, what a trashy last 2 seasons that was.

I think that is partially the case, but considering the RIOT MMO is in full production, I think it would be a missed opportunity to foculs on Arcane Campions alone. The upcoming show based on Noxus(?) and later Damacia and Ionia would be a perfect chance for them to showcase the world of Runeterra. Of course I could be severely mistaken in this haha I fully realize that. :)

Other than the scene they allegedly cut in Season one where Ecko tries to save Powder, the length of episodes were just perfect. And no, Netflix has a much MUCH broader audience than AppleTV. Everything is just perfect the way it is

@@severedproxy Everybody seems a bit eggagerated. Also; I never claimed people were complaining about anything, nor did I express any discontent about it. Showrunning isn't as easy as people may think. In the end of the day, things will be cut to keep a certain pace, which is why I pointed out the particular season one alleged cut; it was merely to have an example. I personally think it was just right, because it gave the perfect breather for the alternate universe episode. Yes; a lot of things felt a little rushed and I would never dispute that. All I try to do I provide an alternative view on things.

@@severedproxy With that in mind; there was little time to respomd to Enbessa once Caitlin suspected something was off. In my most humble view, everyone was rushed into trying to stop them from conquering the Hexgate, so to me at least that part of the rushing seemed justified. I never mean to offend just for the record. We should be able to debate these semantics in a friendly manner.

@YamaguchiGroup I dont know... After season 2 outpour. I believe it might come down to 1.5. They hirded more animators and with how big this has gone i could see them hiring more. With shows like this creating such a massive roar, they need a way to keep that fire cooking. And i dont thing 2 years will do that.

@SenturosGaviannus Perhaps. The strength of Riot is that the whole production is in house, ensuring potential deadlines won't put unneccessary weight on the artists and writers shoulders. Their policy has been that if it is not good enough, they have no issues pulling the plug. In fact; they killed Arcane even after Fortiche went from 5 to 200 animators because of the prospect of the show. The KDA projects pretty much saved Fortiche. It is refreshing to see a studio actually care so much about their fanbase. I think RIOT wanting to procure Fortiche is a great step forward for them.

And one more thing about Maddie that I only noticed in my second time watching season 2 (and my life is all about making people hate her more), is that when she shoots Caitlyn, she aims at her neck and not at her head. At first I thought she was just a dumb b- who can't even get a headshot right, but talking with a friend she explained that IT WAS INTENTIONAL SO CAITLYN WOULDN'T DIE RIGHT AWAY AND WOULD SUFFER TO DEATH!!! Like???? Publicly executing Cait wasn't enough for her, she wanted my girl to have a slow and painful death. Oh, Maddie, nothing could make me like you.

She just lost her lover. In spite of how evil everyone thought Maddie was, you clearly see her distraught when Vi returned. She knew she doesn't stand a chance. I dare to wager this may be the motivation behind her betrayal, but this alas is just theory...

@YamaguchiGroup Actually, I truly believe that she was with Ambessa since the beginning, because when Vi is "arrested" by Cait, and she has that conversation with her, Ambessa kinda implies that she filled the void left by Vi with something else. Of course, she might be talking about the fact that she gave Cait a new motivation to fight, but I think she was also talking about Maddie. How Ambessa got the uniforms for the attack at Cait's mom funeral, and also, right at the moment when Maddie shoots Cait, they flash a devilish smile on her face (it's a very fast detail); those are also things that make me believe that her goal was always to be a spy for Ambessa (like, the woman is literally a war machine and strategist, she wouldn't trust Cait just like that, so it makes sense for her to put Maddie there since the beginning). I think if she was supposed to be someone who had feelings for Cait, Arcane would make sure to show us more of that. She's barely acknowledged, and I believe the only reason for her to be stressed out with Vi coming back is because it might fuck up Ambessa's plan. But that's my perception of things and we'll never know for sure 😕

Season 1 was a masterpiece 10/10 Season 2 lacks cohesion and the episodes don't serve the larger narrative very well but it's still beautiful and emotionally effective. 7/10

I agree with you, I recognize the issues with the ending but they arent enough to not make this show one of my favourites. I still enjoyed it very much. Tho there is one thing about the ending that did make me upset and acctualy bit dissapointed and its Jinx's fake death. Like I understand she's probably alive and death was a fake out but it still felt extremely cheap, while watching I was like "no way they are seriosly pulling out this cliche right now". She deserved a better conclusion instead of that scene. But yeah everything else I liked

I’m ok with her survival cuz she’s had enough happen to her character. Like most characters that get this treatment are getting the survives the end treatment when their death at the end would have been the ONLY truly irreparable bad thing happen to them. But that’s not the case. Jinx is leaving cuz she’s so damanged by things that can never be undone and fixed that she has to let go of everything else that ever mattered to her. I think it’s too painful character arc to not feel like a cop out to prevent the character from having a “bad” ending

6:05 funnily enough Arcane was kinda the first step towards Riot making an MMO game in like a 6-10 years. They wanna establish a good base line for the lore, because previously they have retconned the lore 3 times

Excellently put my guy. Like 3:25 is exactly what I’ve been trying to help people see especially since we know that this is just the start of an amazing (hopefully) world FULL of interesting characters who all have their own secrets that even the viewer may be in the dark on (as seen by Jayce’s last experience before being sent back, or Jinx and Ekko’s anti-self-destruction talk)
