I got my first new car loan at First Pasadena State bank. But they screwed up by saying my payment was late. So I went to their lobby and got hundreds of blank checks from their counter. At home I filled out hundreds of checks in the amounts of 1¢, 5¢, 25¢ and so on until the amount reached $147.50, the amount of my monthly car payment. I took the 3-4 inch thick stack of checks and gave it to a cashier. She had to stamp each check and process them. It took her a long time. I told her I was making the payment this way because of being accused of a late payment. I did this again the next month and the cashier had to spend a long time processing the checks. Then the third month I did the same thing. But this time the cashier called a manager. The manager told her to just bundle all the checks and accept it as payment on full for my car payment. Then he said “You won.” I wanked away smiling that I made them succumb to my tactics. I wondered if people who worked at that bank heard about this story. I choose not to get any more loans from that bank.

So right now it’s just a field but is there’s a another second state bank?
