A lot of directors to choose from, I suggest Gareth Edwards. Yes , he’d do a good job.

Who cares if the franchise is dead James bond is no more so I don’t get it why people are saying that he will be back. He is a literally ash on top of a blown out bunker read books watch the movies that are already existing so Daniel Craig and enjoy because that’s what we have left😢😂

I would have said Nolan, but EON let the opportunity slip trough their fingers as Chris is now prepping his "Prisoner" remake instead. EON's judgment is DOA and their apathy is unmitigated.

I'd personally go for Edward Berger, David Mackenzie or Mark Mylod. But it's tricky. You never know whether a director understands James Bond or not, and I don't think the producers do either until they've talked to these people.

Martin Campbell had also directed episodes of The Professionals, which was an action series. I don't the problem with Quantum of Solace was its being too bleak; it was that they had to put it out without writers due to the writers strike. Finally, I think the seduction of the widow in SPECTRE is when I finally bought Daniel Craig's Bond as a ladies man. I'd be interested in seeing Tom Tykwer direct a Bond movie, mostly based on the Guggenheim shootout in The International.

Talking about The Professionals Pierce Brosnan's 3rd screen appearence was in a episode "Blood Sport" (season 4 .. episode 8) of that series, he played a CI5 Agent operating a radio , this was not one of the 5 episodes directed by Martin Campbell

I greatly enjoyed this video! I find myself thinking a lot on this subject & coming to very similar desires in potential Bond directors, especially focusing on more unexpected or lesser-known directors that utilize interesting style & art direction. The suggestions are outside of the box and are a lot to consider. Personally, I think we already have Christopher Nolan's Bond film; Tenet.

I can’t take this video seriously. A non-white Bond?? How disrespectful to Fleming and all the men knew who were all white and actually inspired Bond, including his brother. Truly disgusting. And as for the director, who cares if he is gay as long as he doesn’t crowbar gayness into Bond like they have done with Star Wars the Acolyte. And Bond has never been homoerotic until that stupid scene in Skyfall. Honestly, Fraig was great but the only really decent movie of the 5 was Casino Royale. The others were passable at best.

Yea, the “modern” Bond. The tortured hero with a backstory. I am sorry these people came and modernized him. Problem is that this is exactly the opposite of what made bond fun. We did not care about his backstory. Whatever made him the way he was is completely irrelevant, both to us, as the viewers, but especially him. A complete hedonist, completely in love with himself, charming, irreverent and more or less misogynistic. Pussy Galore? Genius!!! A shallow but completely honest representation of what women want, and what men strive to be. I loved bond, the forgettable but fun. I truly dislike the Craig versions. Boring boring boring.

Christopher Nolan without a doubt should not only Direct, perhaps even write and produce the next bond movie, give him free reign to reboot the franchise with a vision for a series of three to four movies over the next ten years. Leave Barbara Broccoli produce a corresponding 007 Tv spin-off series in support of the movie franchise, but she needs to take a step back from the stranglehold she has over the movies and branding. A lot of the problem with Broccoli has been the funding and her relationship with movie studios over the years, the broccoli family have taken so much from the franchise, but they are unable to fund new movie development or generate investment themselves, studios are reluctant to work with broccoli because of her iron clad claw on the franchise. Give it to Nolan and every studio door and check book would be opened for a series of new James Bond movies.

I never was a fan of Craig become Bond, he was never bond, he was a rogue brittish vers of jason bourne, who gives a shit about all things, and an obsession over vesper lynd, and other lame shit, also craig never liked bond, he only become bond so he could kill him off, Casino Royale, many new fans may love it, but an great bond u can go back to -95 when Brosnan did his first bond, their u see the charm, style, glamour, the joy of being james bond, for me Bond has been gone seens 2004, 20 years now seens Barbara fired Brosnan, becuse she fell for Craig. Wilson and Campbell wanted Cavill to the new era of reboot of bond, but barbara wanted craig and she has always gotten her wish seens 2000

Id love for campbell to come back. Nolan has had talks with barbara and Michael but i dont think theyd give him the creative freedom he would like. Personally I want them to go back to single story movies that are more fun and lighthearted with edgy violence. Aaron taylor johnson is my pick for a new Bond.

I so agree with you on wishing they'd do one off stories. Have one in the 60's one in the 80's etc. I don't think they'll do it but it would be amazing. My top picks for actor are Dev Patel and George McKay but I would be keen to see ATJ do it.

Great video! What irritates me more than the frame rate in Ang Lee's examples are the images themselves, the compositions, the colors, the focal lengths, the lighting. I wonder what they were thinking, it just looks like bad cinematography.
@briandrysdale57357 ай бұрын
On PAL TV productions, they shot film at 25fps per second, rather than 24fps. The latter is used in NTSC counties. Just a note that the frame rate on interlaced video is half the field rate, so that PAL TV is 25fps, with 50 fields is termed 25i. Confusion came about when HD was introduced, when they described the same process as 50i, where they count the fields, rather than the frames.

Correct higher FPS should b dedicated for video journalism, travel documentaries etc, not for cinema. At least no all of us consider the idea of fantasy associated to what I want to c out there. Today all those films based on a super reality that doesn’t exist in our physical world have drpart from the natural principle given by the photographic axiom of reality itself. The constant manipulation of that frame rate is what it feels unnatural. Idt cinema will go into a higher FPS. Content and video sure will go separating even more from the power of the natural system of photographic representation. Cinema came forward even before its evolution from photography but it was until then that it came to us, we were already been seasoned into it way before 1895. For me higher FPS will get us eventually there but not as an evolution from cinema but as a departure from reality into an era of video consumption. Wasn’t photography the replacement of baroque painting from where even at its best could only contemplate an objective somewhat exaggerated form of reality. What did photography did?
