And you have become stronger than most of the men in the office from cleaning stalls and putting up hay and they are jealous. After years of having horses, sawdust has built up in your electronics, dryer vent, and under the fridge. Nice hair and nails are things other people have. And finally, you understand your retirement, vacations, and major purchases are financially wrapped up in that big pooping bundle of love that stepped on your foot last week and you would not have it any other way.

Even more struggles 1. Leaning too far forward over a jump and not being able to sit back up on landing 2. Leading your horse and he steps on your foot 3. When the horse has loads of chances to poop and poops in the middle of a jumping course 4. When the stirrup leather with the holes in flaps underneath where your leg is and it’s uncomfortable but you can’t move it 5. When your legs decide to die and not be strong enough to make the horse sidepass 6. When you lose your stirrups and you’re panicking because there is a jump coming up 7. When the horse won’t stand still when you’re trying to mount 8. Dismounting and feeling the shock of tiredness in your legs 9. Falling off and your horse galloping away leaving you stranded not knowing where your horse is 10. About to get a clear round in a showjumping comp and you knock a pole on the last jump 11. Your horse turning into a giraffe when trying to put his bridle on 12. Horse rolling in mud/poop before a competition 13. Jodhpurs being too tight around the waist 14. Body protectors not letting you breathe 15. Your eyes tearing up in gallop because you’re going so fast and you can’t see properly 16. Feeling sick after jumping a lot
