I'm at 312k miles on my 2014 model. As already stated probably one of the best vehicles I've ever owned and it is easy to get in and out of. At 250k miles I did have to replace the timing chain/guides/tensioners and the cam adjustment mechanism. Symptom was chain rattle on cold start.

Best part today being able to look back on them, i would take a ls3 powered grand sport over the time bomb that is the ls7 every day of the week. Unfortunately the z06 has an engine that either you spend 5k fixing the heads or you end up replacing it when it sucks in a valve. If i ever loose the ls3 in mine at least it’s only 6k for a brand new 525hp ls3 replacement.

Well ....I have a x3m competition.....and just bought one of these as well, that is how much I enjoy driving it. So I have the luxury of both, I wanted a 911 which I drove but it's stupid expensive compared to this, and this car honestly filled my need for fun that I wanted in the 911, it's that much fun to drive, and my x3m comp, is a beast with 500hp and very high tech, but my coupe now being simple and raw with a 6 speed manual is a blast and comfortable to drive. Lots of torque even in 6 on the highway don't need to downshift to 5 or 4 surprisingly. And a used one is about 13k Canadian, tons of bang for the buck.

Nice video. Great presentation on a Superb vehicle. I own a 2005 and a 2008 MDX. I wanted a Porsche Cayenne, then realized that the MDX is a better product. With basic maintenance and upkeep, my 2008 MDX should last me 500,000 miles. My 2005 MDX already has 296,000 miles, gets 24.78 mpg. and runs like new. I think the sweet spot is 2007, 2008, and the 2009 are the most desirable years to own.

Ford definitely messed up the styling of the Edge starting with the 2011 facelift. The original 2007 Edge was, dare I say, beautiful for a crossover.

I bought mine recently, and cannot believe the power it has. For a 7 series BMW, its size & weight, this car just screams & feels like the power will just keep coming with no end. I fell in love with German cars while my band was touring Europe, where we based the band as we spent the entire summer in Dusseldorf where we headed out to arena shows from there. It was an incredible tour that lasted the entire summer & the exposure we received set our band on a great time in Europe where we met hundreds of thousands of fans at terrific shows. Nevertheless...as I have always been a "CAR-GUY" owning American musclecars, I was fast becoming charmed by anything made in Germany. After so many Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, I am really getting into the high performance BMW's. I only have the greatest compliments for my ALPINA B7 regarding its immense power & incredible abilities to take off or stop on a dime. The engine compartment is glorious. The USA could really learn a great deal from these craftsmen who build & design these rockets.

Mine is still on the road and still doing well. Don't consider this car an SUV. It's more of a hatchback sports sedan. It has plenty of power and enough room for basics. If you need more room this car isn't for you. It really is a nice car but understand that she was right from the beginning. It has room for your golf clubs and if you fold the rear seats down, a bit more but not if you have a bunch of stuff everyday. You'll love the power though. It picks up and moves.
