I always have to leave early these days because I drive or rather now my learners permit driving son drives to the bus stop on my days off but unfortunately it's in the middle of slurping coffee with Jesus. So I keep watching when I get back the house. Thank you for the reminder at the end Tim about the election. Have a great day

The woman or wife is behind the scenes running everything seamlessly. I've read the Proverbs 31 Becoming the Woman God wants Me to Be study twice. Now I want to start it again and also start sharing little nuggets of this wisdom with my kids so they know how to be a good wife/mom and so our son knows what to look for in a wife ☺️ Thank you so much for doing Proverbs! Looking forward to Ecclesiastes and hope to see you this Sunday

I wonder if it’s a spirit of victimhood or of anger/vengeance. He sent out the woman’s remains to each tribe as a sounding of the alarms of what the tribe of Benjamin had done and declaring war on them.

What are some of your favorite commentaries you use to break these chapters down?
@timwalters4Jesus6 ай бұрын
I love "Preaching the Word" series (www.amazon.com/Judges-Ruth-Chaos-Preaching-Word/dp/1433506769). I use Blue Letter Bible as a base source as well as it has verious commentaries, translations, interlinear, etc. (www.blueletterbible.org/). I also use Bible Gateway quite a bit (www.biblegateway.com/). I have various books and other websites. Thanks for asking. Much of what people expect from pastors, preachers and priests is available to anyone.

I just read 1 Corinthians 6 last night and I think Paul may also have been referring to this Psalm in verse 3: "Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!"

That then leads us to Hebrews... :) Consistency in His Word is something God shows again and again from beginning to end.

"Ranks first" is our euphemism for "is best". But I think a better translation would be "the front rank" like in an army--indicating how powerful it is. This also fits with "Yet it's maker can approach it with his sword."

And God said, let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, and that it was good. This is the first time God saw that it was good. The second time in Genesis that it was written that God saw it was good was when God let the dry land appear and gathered the waters under the heaven unto one place. If I am correct you said the appearance of the land and gathering of the water was the first time God saw it was good. Am I correct or am I not understanding the telling.
@timwalters4Jesus Жыл бұрын
Correct. It was not until dry land and seas were created in verse 3 that God said it was good. Before the end of that third day. God will not say that again until day six when He populates the land with all animals and then again at the end of the day after creating Adam. :)
