And that's exactly what I use for my pan pastels. Women's eye shadow makeup I get at the dollar store. It comes in every color under the sun and it sticks better than any other powders I've ever used. I got about 12 different colors including an orange for $1.00. You cannot read very well. It's neutral grey not natural grey. Cheers from eastern TN

New subscriber here. I've been using Pan Pastels for several years, but never thought to stipple them like this. Great technique. I've always been disappointed with how the Dullcoat blew half the powder away. I had a gamechanger when I bought a can of SENNELIER Latour Spray Fixative. It's a little pricey, but you just use a couple puffs at arm's length, and it sets the powder as is. I just started experimenting with working the Pan Patels with wet water on the model, I will try IPA now, good idea. Hope you get your camera to focus better. You said you were into still photography; do you have the Community tab in KZbin? You can post up to 5 photos at a time there. Take care - Bill

Amazingly wonderful work. Very talented modeler you are. The idea of using the eye makeup was very cool. The rusting where the sloped bracing is welded looks very good too. Pan pastels are water soluble so I though water would take it off. Hope to see more videos from you in the future. Stay well. -Wil 👍

these also operate on the staten island railway. I wish that these loco's can travel from grand central -last stop. I guess it is because they are low emmisions locomotives

these locomotives were built to be fuel efficient there part of the green project i think just like the new switchers that are used all over the country. Along with MP36's used by Metrolink, Metra, and GO

don't worry, when they haul 3 empty coaches they smoke a little and struggle along - then put actual loads..... they're no alco.... Wait until they're more than a few days old I'll bet they blow blue smoke like any engine.... I'm sure new GEs and EMDs don't smoke when they're BRAND NEW still at the factory. Heck if you can't pass this test you really suck.

the "next gen" engines currently being built on GP40 frames are the new NJT locos - nothing to do with brookville. I don't think any of the other manufacturers are feeling worried yet - as these engines have yet to prove themselves. Brookville is not even close to competing in the "class 1" games - MNCW is a transit agency - a far cry from hauling tonnage. Brookville may get there some day - that day is just not today - class ones have NO CONCERN for the BL20GHs.
