The last few years we have had common dolphins at Invergordon a few times each summer. Each summer seems to be increasing. They often spend a few days in the cromarty firth before heading back out to sea. Sometimes going down to the Cromarty Bridge

Unfortunately the 9.8m Sei Whale passed away before the tide returned.

Lots of shipping noise in a confined waterway (and possibly active sonar from a sub) is not good for these beasties.

Sometimes this happens when there in fear of something chasing them they will swim into the shallows to try and get away.

@@kieranmccabe Yeah that's why we have 55 pennants in our trophy room. Someone doesn't know the difference between 55, and 1. I'd say go back to school yourself, but it's likely the schools that has caused you to have this unfortunate mental impairment. How tragic. 😂WATP 🔴⚪🔵
