Sorry to break it to you! Female tarantulas almost never leave their burrow for any reason. But males leave very often to mate. You can tell the gender by looking at their front legs. Males have kind of a tuft of hair under for mating. This specific spider looks to be in the genus aphonapelma. You can probably hold it and help it across the road!

@ he has been hanging out on the same spot for the last few weeks. We don’t see him everyday, we don’t always drive that way, but it’s always exciting when he’s there. Some day when he’s not around we want to fly our drone and see what’s up in the roof. We haven’t seen a nest anywhere around the area

Amazing footage! That looks like a huge fish (do you know what kind?) the bird caught! The fish was struggling, but the hungry Cormorant managed to fully consume (alive?!) it all okay? It looked like the unlucky thing was desperately kicking sliding down that long throat! I wonder, does the large fish stand any chance of escaping if eaten in that condition? Maybe it can turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach and has a chance of survival here.
