@@Jeff-qn3cd from what I understand it's a way to get better foot feel and holding power over one clutch with heavier fingers. Sounds like a great platform. I originally wanted to do a Ford powerplant, but since I was starting from a blank slate I went LS based for various reasons. I wanted a strong platform to build upon and didn't want to be left wanting more in the future.

I think your thinking things through is great. It,s like the old adage,, make haste slowly! You,re doing excellent work. The only thing about the building of these cars is the use of silicon to seal panel gaps. There is an aviation epoxy,, I can,t remember the name of it, but it,s black, structural and is for bonding dissimilar materials. Silicon has a life of what,, ten years?? Using that black adhesive would last the life of the vehicle. tighten up the structure too!
@pmieras23283 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comments, feedback and tips. I thought about alternatives for sealing panel gaps. So far, I've been using it for what seems like secondary seal along rivet joints. There are a few gaps that I haven't addressed yet that I may use something other than the GE silicon for. We'll see when I get there.

Uhh, I saw a build where the outside panel on the driver side foot well was left off until everything was finalized with all the stuff that goes on in that area. Thanks. I originally wanted to build a Ford motor. I grew up a Ford guy. I started with a blank slate and priced the build for small block Ford's. It was a no brainer to do a LS motor. I was able to build the motor for a fraction of the cost of a high HP Ford. Since I was starting from scratch, cost was negligible from stockish to high HP. Plus it's lighter (approx 45lbs) than small block ford.
