ASMR Shoeshine&Repair Dratewka

I am a Japanese shoe shiner who won second place in the Shoeshine competition 2023 in Japan.
Dratewka is a shoeshine and repair shop in Tokyo.
We are shooting the work scenery of shoe polishing and repair.

●Why is the store name Dratewka?
We were thinking about the name of the shop, but we couldn't come up with a good idea. So, We decided to search for fairy tales about shoes from all over the world and use them for the name of the store.
That's when we came across "Dratewka". This story was very nice, and we felt that it was a symbol that we should aim for, as we aim to treat every customer with sincerity. Also, we felt the strength from the sound of the words, and we thought it was very good, so we decided to use it as the name of the store.

内羽根の靴の紐を全て取ると通す時に革を曲げないと通せないことがあるので、よほど汚れていない限りは1番下に残すようにしています！

Very nice shine! Could you explain the use of the two different cleaners?

The first one is a good cleaner for removing wax, and it's like a cleanser for removing makeup. The next one is something that removes all dirt, so I guess it's similar to a face wash.

I noticed Made In France ASMR posted a video and his way of shining shoes with the cloth was very similar to yours 😅. Don’t know if he used your vids as inspiration

The way I shine shoes is pretty much the same as the Japanese way of doing things these days, so he may be taking inspiration from the Japanese way rather than mine.

It's a solid cleaner. The main ingredients are wax and organic solvent, and I use it like a cleansing oil to remove makeup.

I don't think there is a specific term. I think this is one of the mainstream methods in Japan today.

I think the color of these shoes was a slightly orange-brown. I used medium brown wax!

These are really cool shoes. The wax I used is a product called M.MOWBRAY High Shine Primer.
