Glad to see a video on KZbin using the brazier . One note of caution, never use this in a tent , one year at a eastern primitive rendezvous a man was affixiated and died and young son was critical . Cold rainy evening !

What is the size of that? Great video. :)

Thanks Dennis! The grate is probably something like 6" X 6" square. Something like 10" square in total size not counting the handle and maybe 9 or 10 inches in height.

Good video. I’m having trouble finding which pipe will work on mine. Can you tell me what I need to get?
@forrestsfinefoods-icookout91863 жыл бұрын
It's actually a "odd" size. I believe it's a 3 inch pipe. The pipe came with mine. I have been looking for a chimney cap to go on mine but haven't had any luck finding one. Thank you so much for watching!

Would love to know where I can find this little brazier. Thanks for the history too.
@forrestsfinefoods-icookout91864 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for the comment Bruce! I believe it was etsy where I found it a couple of years ago. The description said "hand forged" but the closest to being forged is maybe heated and bent. There's allot of electric welding done on it...which don't affect the use of it at all. I'd love to find an original! Do a Google search...but be sure to add the word grill to brazier...else you'll get results you don't want! 😁

Good video. Yes the Ñuke oven is a dryer environment than a Dutch oven. I enjoyed the story about the piece of Civil War hard tack. Of course I already knew what hard tack was. I was looking forward to seeing how your effort at it came out. There are no silent e’s in Spanish. The Ñ is a separate letter of the Spanish alphabet. It is pronounced as an ni or ny in English in words like onion, or canyon. As in the Spanish word piñata. Evidently the word ñuke is a Spanish transliteration of a native word from the indigenous population of Argentina, it means “Mother Earth”. It has nothing to do with nuclear weapons. Not trying to be rude, it is just that I’m a high school Spanish teacher. That is what I do, teach Spanish! I think I’ll be firing up my oven this weekend.

@@BigLewBBQ I agree Lew...I don't understand putting a cheap thermometer with a short probe on such a nice oven. I'm gonna get around to changing it out one day.

Geoff I might have to get you to come over here and help me load it to take over there. It don't weight but a little over 240...which I can lift...but it's too wide to get a good hold of. I had to get the boys from down the road to help me set it on the cart!

@forrestsfinefoods-icookout91864 жыл бұрын
I really don't have a good idea on the weight Melinda. I haul it in a cargo trailer with two 3500 pound axles and it hauls fine. If I had to guess...I'd say somewheres around 4000-4500 pounds with the gear included. That's strictly only a guess though.
