WOW! I’ve never seen this performance before! Spotlights the time when The Supremes were a fantastic group! I love how Mary refers to Miss Ross as “Diane”!

Not a bad interview but it seem so tense among three at this point in 1966 . Glad to hear from Florence and Mary though. Ross clearly at this point was moving to separate herself from the two and even said it versus how they started out

I heard they would turn her microphone down because she had the most powerful voice

Florence was ❤ Dianna definitely carried the group though. Florence had a different type of vocal wasnt really meant for a lead in a girl band. Florence had strong, deeper vocals more fit for a solo career but she did do excellent as singin background. That's why Dianna worked out so well because she had a lighter, crisper, very unique voice/sound.

It's a shame and a poc mark on a truly revolutionary singing group that both Flo and Mary were not more prominently featured on vocals both live and studio. Gordy was clearly thinking with his dick instead of his head for what was best for every member of the group. I prefer the recordings that showed their excellent harmony singing talent rather than the same one member always over mic'd.

Wish they'd zoomed out slightly. Always focused on Dianna. I get it her voice carried them but Florence started this group.

It's sad that Motown was not supporting the Supremes anymore. This could have been a huge disco hit!!

When You Look Back At "The Original Supreme's How Come Someone Didn't Think Of Giving Each Each Singer A Solo Number To Sing It Would Have Made Each Member Hsppy Even If They Weren't Singing Lead, And The Public Would Have Gotton To Hear Each Member's Voice And What They Truly Sound Like When They Weren't Singing In The Background.

Love the camera work....all 3 of the Supremes in focus and in frame. Showing why they as a group were so special!!! The background vocals, movements, harmonies... Only watched Mary and Flo in this while listening to Diana and the song. The magic was from each, and the alchemy of the combination of The Supremes!!!

Tad. Is that Mary Isaaks and Guerneville as Backup Dancers to the Triad in Santa Rosa (Sam Jones, Drop In, Redwood Gospel Mission) that's broken? How funny. I bet that's part of how this happened. Two "REMOTE" backup locations not utilized plus a broken Triad. Love you. Don xoxo

Marla Gibbs kind of reminded me in this episode ironically of other former Supreme Cindy Birdsong whom Mary sang with in the group for several years, too. 😍

Diana such a mystery nobody knows anything about her you never hear of her I wonder if shes happy with her life > I think she married some rich Norwegian guy she should write a book on her life she looks ruthless a force to recon with and thats not bad she got ahead
