Thanks so much for this Angie and Alan! I think many of us, if not most, undervalue our own work. You are a real treasure to our miniature community Angie.

what computer program do you use to create your wonderful minis please?

Such detailed instructions up until the final (top) step. More instructions needed as far as laminating the handrail and the railing on the top step. Also, detailed instructions on the fabrication of the "gate" would be helpful. That being said, your SVG file for the spiral staircase is a mini engineering marvel! Mine went together beautifully. I easily scaled it down a bit for my dollhouse tower and ended up with 15 steps. In my experience: I dispensed with the paper straws (too fiddly) and just upsized the dowel. I also worked upside down, which made glueing the bottom tabs on the stairs very easy. Thank you, you're truly an artist!!

Thank you. I came up with the idea while I was sick and had lots of time to think. I had been using 'goo' with stencils to make bricks so it just seemed an obvious next step. Now I love it :D

These are absolutely beautiful and lifelike! Do you think they would hold up glued onto a hair barrette? Where can I find vegetarian capsules? And they don’t melt in the oven? Thank you so much for this Tutorial! I’m going to head over to your website and check out the stencils!! God Bless!

Yes. You'd have to use the right glue. I imagine jewellery glue would work well. XX

lmao, i hate the voice, its sounds so boring loooool, (no shade being thrown)
@angiescarr6 жыл бұрын
Haha. A friend of mine used to say she used my videos to put her children to sleep. You could see it another way...as a relaxing voice. Some people prefer that to a relentlessly upbeat one . I do now video live so the voice is a little less drone-y but I'll never sound like I'm on 10 coffees a day ::D

I love watching your videos and although I'm from Denmark, I understand English, but the sound of your videos is sometimes a bit bad. I think it's the microphone that's too far away from your mouth? Much of what you're telling me, I do not understand

Hi Angie, I also have been experimenting with these on my minis, I find it messy and yes dries so fast, you have to work quickly. I use a brand called Born Pretty and you can buy the polish that is made for this, it doesn't work with regular nail polish, I found out afterwards, I also like their rolling tube stamper is see through so you can see exactly where your print will be, hope this helps. I just subscribed to your Patreon page, love your work.

Thanks so much for joining my patrons. Must be under another name! :D Yes I just bought some Born pretty stuff.

I think it's a good idea with petroleum-based plastics like ABS. But for plant-based plastics like PLA I don't think it's necessary. It should be akin to frying oil or even the fumes of a fog machine. The mask certainly won't hurt but I do a lot of dumb things experimenting with PLA and it's never been as bad as me trying to make a batch of french fries.
@VagabondTE6 жыл бұрын
Come to think of it. PLA being safe is probably why 3D pens never have mask warnings. The only pens I know of that can melt ABS are Chinese knockoffs. And those never have warnings.
@angiescarr6 жыл бұрын
I once set fire to a chip pan so I'm with you on that. I like high temp materials so I can work with combining 3d pen work and Polymer clay work.
@VagabondTE6 жыл бұрын
angie scarr, Ah.. Do you bake the plastic? If you do, I would love to see a video about how you do it. I've tried it on some projects but it's really hard to get to do what I want.
