That Orange Pickup Truck parked out back was also there when the show was filming in the 1970s! There are some shots of it in some episodes. Must be one of the Firefighters who works there.

What year did they change the hip boots and did you know that the Chicago switched in 2008
@bigdrew5652 ай бұрын
They finally started to make the switch in late '94 after the Watts Street Fire in March of that year killed 3 firefighters in Eng 24/Ldr 5 who got caught in a backdraft. The bunker gear might have saved at least two of the three. It took the department about a year to get it out to all of the companies. Giuliani was heard to say to Howard Safir after visiting Captain Drennan in the burn ward. "I don't give a fuck what it costs, you get those guys that bunker gear." This was 3 years after Kevin Kane died of burns he suffered when a room lit up on him and he stood for minutes at a window burning up and screaming. and the city was crying poverty when the UFA demanded new PPE. Every time a guy in my volley house says that they wished they could wear the old gear, I show them a picture of one of our Senior Guy's knees after he got badly burned trying to make a grab on a kid back in the 80s.

I will be in the same cabin but, on the Celebration. Did you notice any cigarette smoke from the crew area down below?
@chuck1car2589 ай бұрын
No I didn’t notice or smell any smoke from the crew. I did see a few of them smoking down there. The cabin being so high hope, I think if there was any smoke rising, it got dispersed or blown backwards way before it got up to this cabin. I really enjoyed the cabin.

My old hood, just after we left. When murders hit 2200, it was time to sell. All of us figured Dems would steal the next mayor election like they did in 89. Had we known Guliani would win, we would have stayed.

We bought the Mack/Baker Aerials opening off Montauk, a very nice truck, it was our first aerial device, it became Waterboro Truck 1 ( maine )! After several years we sold it to the Rangeley Maine fire department. That truck served 4 careers, before retirement. Can't say enough about the guys from Montauk that we met, when we picked the truck up at Orient Point, for her Ferry ride to the mainland

Love the historical marker/plaque on the front in remembrance of Robert A. Cinader, EP of Emergency!; he was big in why this station 127 (which was 51 on Emergency!) is remembered as it is today.

Is the Symphony of the Seas bigger than Mardi Gras? Compared to the Carnival Mardi Gras, the Symphony of the Seas is 24% larger in terms of overall tons. This answers the question at the end of the video from the gentlemen in the background talking.
