it has an extra flap over the mic which you can open and close. it is made for extreme applications and condition to protect your phone in the first place.

just loosen the screw and pull it out ;) there is a safety pin so nothing can fall into the stem.

Let me describe my experience, just bought a full set of SP Connect items: universal interface glued to the back of the phone fell off when I was taking it off the mount. I am happy it was at home, not 2000 km away from home on a highway. Powerbank charger only charged the phone before I have glued the universal interface. With universal interface, no more wireless charging. Same for the charger that goes on the moto - no wireless charging. For testing I have connected it directly to the motorcycle battery using original SP Connect cable, so no excuses about "weak charger". Basically none of the SP Connect products meant for wireless charging worked - I am trying to return all this junk to recover part of the money. I keep the mount, but I no longer trust the universal interface, so maybe I will buy their clamp to somehow use the mount (I do not want any of the phones for which they make dedicated cases - I think they are not a good choice for navigation). This is my experience with a "premium" brand for which I have paid a premium price... Next time I will buy knock offs, the quality of mechanical parts is probably as good as the original, but at 1/3 of the price.
