The song "Hysteria" by Def Leppard is about the feeling of being overwhelmed by emotions, both good and bad. The lyrics describe a state of heightened excitement and anxiety, where the senses are overloaded and the mind is racing. The song can be interpreted as a metaphor for the creative process, or for the experience of being in love. The song's title comes from the word "hysteria," which can mean either a medical condition characterized by uncontrollable emotional outbursts, or a state of intense excitement or anxiety. In the context of the song, "hysteria" seems to refer to the latter meaning. The lyrics describe a feeling of being so overwhelmed by emotions that it's difficult to think straight. The singer is "out of touch, out of reach," and they feel like they're "going crazy." However, the song also has a positive side. The singer is excited and passionate about something, and they're not afraid to show it. They're "living on the edge," and they're "ready to explode." The song is a celebration of the power of emotion, and it's a reminder that sometimes, it's okay to lose control. Here are some of the lyrics that support this interpretation of the song: * "I'm in a state of hysteria I can't think straight I'm out of touch, out of reach I'm going crazy" * "I'm living on the edge I'm ready to explode I'm going to take you with me To the promised land" * "I'm in a world of my own I'm lost in the moment I'm on a journey of discovery I'm finding myself" Ultimately, the meaning of the song is up to the listener to decide. However, I believe that "Hysteria" is a powerful song about the power of emotion. It's a reminder that sometimes, it's okay to let go and lose control.

Yeah, I love the reverence she has for Def Leppard. Her parents raised her on their music. When doing Crossroads she was allowed to hand pick one band to duo with her. She didn't hesitate and picked them. Amazing stuff.

Thank you for posting this video, I enjoyed it very much. I visited Velyki Birky in July 1994 with my aunt and uncle and other friends as part of my journey to trace my family roots. My grandparents were Teodor Plaskonos and Martha (Snihur) Plaskonos. They were born (in 1882 and 1892, respectively) in the town and they were married at the Greek Catholic church there in 1909. They both emigrated to the USA and their eight children (including my mother, Olga) were all born in the USA, in Pennsylvania. During our visit to Velyki Birky, the residents were very friendly to us. We met my uncle's first cousin, Yaroslava Plaskonos, during our visit. Yaroslava was very kind to us, opened up her home to us, and also invited us to have dinner at her home. It was quite an experience!

Hilarious.....you know the band hasn’t used amps on stage since the hysteria tour.I’d love to see you do that without anything to oscillate.You wish you had 1/1000 the talent Phil Collen has.He would have a hard time hearing your sniveling through all those gold and platinum records on his walls.
@moonstone8205

@@SC-oh9ol you obviously don't know what your talking about. The sustain I mentioned has nothing to do with amps of any sort but has everything to do with the sustainer system built into all his guitars. So before you make another tree work hard to replace the oxygen you waste do some research.

@@moonstone8205 live FoH sound engineer for 30+ years,you may want to use Google to learn what that actually is...take as much time as you need...So OBVIOUSLY,I do actually.Ive worked with more names than you've even seen.What you are talking about is a pick-up he helped design,that changes the characteristics when the Concentric pot is pulled out to the engage position.This is in Probably 500,000 guitars.Its rather old and rather common technology these days.You can put a million gadgets on something to try and acheive something,but without the operator and OTHER select processing,it's not going to happen.There would also be a patch made up in his gear that is selected by his guitar tech (or himself) when he needs it.WOW! Next you can tell me all about the volume thingy.....If you DID actually know anything about electronics,you would know that a volume thingy is actually called a Potentiometer,or Pot for short...you probably call it a knob...but that's what we call idiots that know a lot about nothing they have only watched a couple of KZbin vids on.....congrats tho....you win the tree battle.

@@SC-oh9ol LOL, your a funny guy. Yeah most won't know what potentiometer is but I do. There is nothing about electronics that u can teach me......again I was simply saying that Phil uses his sustainer system excessively in songs and gets annoying. But you are taking way to personal.
@SC-oh9ol
@SC-oh9ol 2 жыл бұрын
@@moonstone8205 I'm a funny guy? Because you have no real response to my accreditation,or what I actually do for a living.But Im being belittled by Mr Radio Shack here? I would imagine there is a TON I could teach you about electronics.To hammer my original point home.Would you snivel to Sir Paul McCartney for not using the dampener so much on a piano to allow the string to continue to vibrate which will "sustain" it's note and the Harmonic and octave.All he is doing,is activating a osc feature on a switched pick up that simulates natural osc that a guitar player with backline actually on the deck with him,which is beyond stupid,will achieve the effect of the notes never dwindling out because of regeneration from the OSC between the tone of the wood on the guitar,the electronics on board.The subtle regenerating delay,chorus and reverb in his processing chain.The reason why he uses it a great deal is because he is using IEMs,and I know you don't know what that is because they don't sell them at radio shack.There is no cabinet on ty stage with him blasting his guitar sound at 110db.Because the cabs are all in isolation boxes that sometimes don't even come off the trucks, therefore eliminating one of the very helpful parts of the formula to acheive a well rounded guitar sound...that can sometimes "sustain" It's as ignorant as saying My favorite colour is blue so you have to like it too.... Which leads me to my next point...you are obviously not a musician,or if you are,you haven't had any success with that even a career as a bar star.Because 98% of pro musicians learn around their second gig that because you like something or not doesnt mean that anyone else has to.The appreciation of an artform is between the artist and the listener.And the real key factor in all of it.....Phil Collen has been in that Band since the early 80s,he has entertained MILLIONS,rather successfully,he has countless hit songs under his name,and several gold and platinum awards on his walls from his talent.The last thing he is worried about is what a guy that sells batteries and marked down phone plans at radio shack is saying about how often he uses an effect that is part of why he has had a career that has spanned over 40 years.In fact,I bet that the number of gold and platinum album awards on your walls is closer to ZERO...My advice is to write a song that reaches millions that enjoy it,before joining the club that gets to call down someone else's success.Its pathetic.I bet I will never see him show up at your Radio Shack store and show you how to scrub the toilet in the staff room...so why do or go to your other job on Main Street and Knock dicks out if your mouth right? So why would you feel you get to tell him how to do his job?
