Yes, Collings Foundation at Ellington Field, Houston, TX has 1 you can acquire flight training. Its expensive, $8,000 for 45 minute flight!!

Tbh this is the period of time where after burners were first getting introduced to aircraft so they weren’t perfect/efficient.

I mean yes. But this is russian and they are notorious for shotty craftmanship. I know the guy above mentioned its an early iteration but the us never had a problem with afterburner like this. It comes down to the us always making superior technology or atleast a willingness to ensure the product is completely ready for consumer use to ensure safety where russia churns things out asap often with unreported safety issues as when you bring up an issue in russia you become the issue and disapear. That is why accountability is so important in society.

@@brendensmithmusic278 not sure that was the case with MIG production They have always made ultra competitive aircraft. They were well ahead of us with the MiG-15 and the MIG 25, 29 and 31 scared us into making the F-15. We were terrified of those.
