In cabinet mode that may be disabled. There are two difficulties, try the lowest one. Balance the ball to control the speed, there's no brake button.

I don't know anything about a modded version, this is the Steam demo. Perhaps you're playing the XBox demo/game? If so, it will be updated soon. The Steam demo levels slightly differ from the full Steam release btw.

@@VanAlphenStudio yeah I didn't know what the cheat system is like and yours looked a bit different, also on level 1 I got top 17 in the world and 5.5m seems like a top 3 at least if not top 1, I'm top 17 and only got 2.6m ish

When playing it doesn't feel dull, it does take a bit too long for the difficulty to ramp up. So for viewing I can see it can be dull and slow moving. There has been a big update I haven't tried yet, things might have been improved.

Mouse on PC is pretty much the only way to beat the Neo mode. If you are on Playstation you are pretty screwed for the most part since you can only use the controller and the way they have it set up is a billion times inferior to a mouse. On PS5 I somehow managed to beat the Eternal Battle mode ONCE (not sure how I managed to pull that off), but with crossplay turned off (since it's not possible to beat a PC player with a mouse with a PS5 controller) . With the Neo mode (single player) I can only get to level 19 with the PS5 controller.

Sure, I've done it a few times. Can take a bit of practice, it's not easy :)

You can listen to the soundtrack on Bandcamp for free. I only played T2k for a tiny bit figuring I would play it once I finished my spinner but never did, I may get back to it. I'm 45yo atm and the older I get the more I'm drawn towards (sometimes simple) arcade games, I don't have time for fluff, just straight forward action :)

It is all about simple and addictive gameplay. Do you know "Only One" on Android? You don't have to do any ingame purchases. It is lots of fun with a Razer Kishi (USB C) or other Bluetooth Controller. I have a PS4 pro, a Switch and Android. Do you know which of these games are available for these systems? In a level with normal walls don't pick up an E or C when you have laser. In a level with golden bricks go for double C to get laser aim. When you have catch try to memorize the angle the ball came in. There might be milking opportunities in the final level. If there's no time limit you could score big by only hitting the guys circling DOH.

Yeah, it's a real improvement being able to stack power ups. It does take a bit of practice to remember which ones to catch and which ones to pass on in certain situations. Catching multiple balls feels a bit weird, even harder to tell where the ball will go on release.

Yeah, it having just the one song is a bit disappointing. I do think it's best you have to start over after death because of its arcade origin. There are unlimited continues if you're unable to clear it in one run.

Yeah, me too. I can't tell if it's actually good but it sure works for me. It's all made by just one developer.

looks like it's a mouse for aiming and either a joystick or keyboard for moving, rather than 2 joysticks which would be more like Robotron. Too bad.

You can play how you like, the game supports multiple input schemes. Keyboard/joystick + mouse/draw tablet or dual stick controller. For 8-directional twin stick shooters I prefer a dual stick controller however I was having controller issues at the time.

You're welcome. I spend hours learning all the patterns since it was the only level in the demo. It is easier with the spreadshot or another active ability and four passive abilities. A no abilities run was a category in the demo contest and this run won me a free Godstrike key :)
