Without looking any other parts on this or any guitar, look at the plug hole to the truss rod. No walnut lined insert then it's fake and most likely china.

Really wish you hadn't skipped the opening the piano part. That is the part I'm most afraid of, since I never know if I still need to remove another screw or if all it needs is a little bit of force and it will come off. The side panels for example, seem to only have one screw on it each but removing it still needs a lot of force. Edit: Figured it out. For anyone in the future: there is also a screw on the bottom, right below each of the side panels that you need to remove.

Everything is generally quite simple, if you paid 100 bucks or less for it - then everything is ok. Looks like a Fender and sounds like a Fender.

Everytime i see a silver strat i get sad for.selling the strat plus i got rid of . The lace sensors lsr roller nut locking tuners and bridge with the fender/floyd rose it had . Looks just like a standard strat bridge and saddles but the trem bar had a allen wrench to to loosen and tighten the string clamps in the saddles . Didnt like the fact of cutting the strings rgebsame as a regular floyed but it still kicked ass best strat i ever played and heard she was special and rare wish i never sold it

I recently fell a victim of a fake Fender Stratocaster. First thing I noticed was the asymmetric distance between the knobs. The volume knob and the first tone knob were really close to each other, compared to the last tone knob.

@rodrossi97492 жыл бұрын
You missed some obvious things..... 1. To many screws in the pickguard. 2.trem cover on the back has incorrect holes. 3. The neck is incorrect, however, if it was a different year the walnut skunk strips would be clearly visible where you adjust the trussrod. Never had to take it apart, it actually looks cheap.

I'm a bass player and love Fender and some Squier basses. I don't mess around buying instruments online when it comes to cheap instruments labeled with expensive brands while claiming to be "made in USA". This Strat don't look even right for an Indonesian-made Squier. I'm sure those Squier Strats' qualities are even far better than these fake "Fender" guitars you come across that are very likely made by bootleggers in China.

That is the very reason I made this video. I was seeing a lot more fakes come into he store. I knew some very experienced guitar players that were fooled. I realized that just being a player didn't make a person an expert on what to look for so I thought I would make the video to help.
