If anyone wants to be and stay healthy enabling them to age well, remember you are what you eat. That is at the heart of your physical health. And to be healthy, quit eating out! Prepare your own food. I'm going on 50 years old, and I am at the strongest and healthiest in my life. And That's all I did. But understand it will take a couple of years getting all of the bad out of your system B4 start feeling good. The greatest health tip in the world, and at no charge. Oh yeah, 8 years not eating out, and 8 years since I have gotten sick with a cold or flu! Hell, I don't even wear glasses anymore which I did for 30 years! And not a single ache or pain in the body. Honest. I lost my job, my house everything had to file bankruptcy and that is how I came across this because I couldn't afford to eat out. So something good actually came out of what was tragedy. Who says there isn't a God? Besides it has gotten too expensive to eat out thanks to President Biden.

If you entered your bank information you can expect to receive payment by the end of July. If you chose to receive a check in the mail it may take a bit longer.

Here's how my doctor does it. A 20-something medical assistant asks all the questions such as are you pissing on yourself, are you falling down, can you tell time on a clock with moveable hands (yes thank you I learned that over 65 years ago), are you sexually active, can you take care of yourself (yes thank you I am working every day) and other such stupid nonsense. He documents it as counseling, i.e. questions asked about diet are documented as diet counseling, questions about exercise are documented as counseling about heart health. That is all he does except ask about when last mammogram & colonoscopy was. Oh yeah a question is asked if you have an advance directive. He documents it saying an X amount of time was spent counseling patient about advance directives. He gets paid. I get nothing but asked stupid questions. This is the most worthless exercise I have ever encountered at a doctors office. It should be against the law for a doctor to document lies. I will NEVER again be tricked into such a stupid exercise. Yes it is ALL about money and ZERO about patient health. I have all the symptoms of depression on my AWV but it is only documented so the doctor can get paid. He is not allowed to treat anything so it is forgotten about. The only thing he would lose if I commit suicide is his big fee for the AWV.

You may want to ask for a referral to a specialist if you don't feel your primary doctor has given you the care you need in this area.

@ALTSD New Mexico. I can refer myself but we only have 2 psychiatrists where I live and neither accepts Medicare. I believe they charge over $100 for 15 minutes. Our mental health care along with the rest of health care in this area sucks big time.

@ALTSD Also there are 2 therapists who accept Medicare and it is very difficult to get an appointment. By the way I have traditional Medicare with a Medigap supplement Plan F but it mostly worthless if you can't find providers. Here's my advice to every young person DON'T GET OLD

@@mizmarie6511 I hear your frustration with the lack of providers. I know it is not ideal, but you may be able to get a telehealth appointment sooner, Medicare does cover those visits. Something to consider...

@ALTSD I think telehealth would be horrible for mental health care. One-on-one in person is best. Besides I have no where private where I could do something like that. My husband never leaves the house and hovers over me most of the time or underfoot like a puppy so no way to use computer or telephone in private. Thank you for your replies and efforts at helping. Too bad you are New Mexico. I am in NE Tennessee and healthcare sucks here especially once you are on Medicare. Choices are very limited.
