@@mister.wizard Right handed. The image is just flipped for some reason 🤷‍♂️ But I do play with the left controller and have it set to play as righty in game. This isn't for any reason other than my attachment was the left controller version.

@@Bhakti-rider yes, I find the same thing. I have mine all open 5degrees and really have to focus on and in to out path.

@@robynb.4866 pressing the side trigger or lifting your club should bring up the yardage markers. I often use a hair tie around my controller so I don't have to reach down to press the trigger all the time.

Thank you! Also is there a way to drop a ball in a practice round by teleporting anywhere you choose and dropping a ball or do you just play mulligans where it happens to end up say by the green etc?

@robynb.4866 You can at the G+ Range. Teleport then place ball (where Mulligan's normally are) but no you can't on a course at this point. It would be great. I have a few holes I like to practise on and just use muligans. Sawgrass hole 8 is my go to.

@@3o1Golf The hardware technology still isn't there so the game has to assume perfect face contact. This gives you PGA pro level distance. Although it tracks the face angle, club path, attack angle and lots more, it still falls closer to game than simulator. The game also has a power assist option, again because the hardware isn't quite there swinging with speed like real life can cause tracking issues so a slower tempo is required. You can however dial the power assist down to a negative value, so if you want to you could match your in real life distance. Once there is the ability to integrate a launch monitor it will take this to a whole new level. The developers have a video showing them doing exactly that👀

@@pixkeyser I vary my face depending on the shot i want to play. Generally chips around the greens I prefer to have a slightly open face to land the ball more softly.

@@tommywarner7142 it's super helpful. I've been using it a lot this week in the high winds at Canyons. I snap rotate (with the joystick) 5-10⁰ into the wind. Then realign the ball with the wind bar. I've been doing the same on the greens this week and just hit top 25 in Pro putting stats. It is slower and don't know if I would spend that extra time in a multiplayer game.

@@damianrossrealestate I'm using the RM design. It's unfortunate no longer being made. Something like the Yezro would be comparable. I personally love it. It really helps me with putting and chipping as the feel is so close to real life. I do lose driver distance but I feel the accuracy makes up for that. Also using the Q3 and Pro controller. I find the pro controller helps a bit with tracking but it was a gift, if I had to spend the money I don't know if I would.

@@KnightmareReaperVR when you set up your boundaries there’s a blue circle , I don’t know if you’re supposed to stand within the circle, for direction or what. Depending how you move around it shows up.

@@maeu59 Got you👍 The blue circle is your overall VR "safe"play space and doesn't relate to G+. When setting up my space in the Meta Boundary settings, I use the Room scale as the station circle annoys me if it pops up during play. For my drives I have the ball inline with my front foot. my 3 irons are a little back from that and then slowly work back towards the center for my LW. I often use the wind indicator bar by holding the side trigger to help align my feet straight.

@@KnightmareReaperVR it would be nice if you could actually see your feet, do you remove the headset for that?

@@maeu59 It would be good. Maybe we will have a mixed reality button soon to look through. I do a few things. I can look down my nose if i need to, but using the wind indicator bar generally works well. I draw my own boundary space and put a little "bump" on the edge. I position the ball here so I know it's always safe to swing. I also use the virtual club and put it across my hips to check that I'm aligned in the right direction.

@@maeu59 Once you start a round yes, but afterwards you can change them again. Or if you are in a practice round or use Mulligans you can adjust them mid round.

@@CrazyAboutVinylRecords The wind bar really helps me align my body. Holding the side trigger gives you the wind bar at your feet. I stand parallel to that.

@@KnightmareReaperVR Thanks. I'm having another issue with Golf+ and it just might be a deal breaker. When around and on the greens, any semblance of distance control is almost impossible. With a lob wedge in my hand the swing difference between a 20 yard shot and an 80 yard shot is so razor thin it is impossible to control. Short shots often sail over the green or fall well short of it. And I am piling up strokes because of it. The same is true on the greens with a putter. And I end up three putting a lot of greens because distance control is so weak. BTW, I am a 10 handicapper in real life. I am aware of the shot control sliders for feel in the game and I have started to tinker around with them. So far results are mixed. If I can't get this dialed in to the point where I have some distance control around and on the greens then I will put Golf+ down and write it off. I was also very surprised when the game once marked me down for a bogey on a Par 4 when in fact I scored a 4...not a 5. So after that I have been keeping a close eye on the game's score-keeping.

@@CrazyAboutVinylRecords I hear this and it's one of the hardest areas of the game to get control of. I'm having a really good period at the moment and have great feel in approach shots. The biggest tip and areas to look at are the feel sliders which you mentioned but they won't help when you're not chipping around the green. The biggest area is your power assist setting on your LW. The power assist will automatically bump up your swing speed, so if it is set too high you will never have control of it as the game will take over. The calibration set mine way to high. Just tonight I went back over all my power settings. Each club has a set swing speed to match the listed distance. I hit my normal shot then look at the swing speed, not it down. Then I hit an 80% shot, if the swing speed doesn't drop like you expect it's too high. getting this dialled in will mean you have full control over the club.

@@KnightmareReaperVR Many thanks for the tips. I will try to put them to good use. I see a lot of potential in Golf+ and would really hate to walk away from it.

@@KnightmareReaperVR I think I need to put this down for a while. Maybe permanently. This is turning into a grind that just isn't fun. At least in real golf if my ball ends up in a bad spot it is 100% because I hit a bad shot. I can and do accept that. But in this game the ball always seems to be in a bad spot and it almost always is because of issues with the game. I cannot accept that 90% of my putts roll off the green no matter the putting distance. And I cannot accept that 80% of my approach shots end up in the deep rough or in a bunker no matter where I am aiming. Forget about landing the ball on the green. I do that 5% of the time. I was hoping I could bring what I know about real golf to this game experience and have fun with it. But it just hasn't worked out that way and I am afraid that if I put in the time and make the adjustments needed to satisfy whatever it is the game is demanding of me that it will really screw up my game out on the golf course. I won't allow that to happen. I think the developers of Golf+ need to go back to the drawing board and find a way to make this experience palatable and fair for someone who has spent their entire adult life playing real golf and plays to a 10 handicap. While I am not a scratch golfer I don't suck at it, and for that reason alone I shouldn't suck at Golf+ but I do.

No very often. my misses generally will happen when I lift my head. The game hates you not looking at the ball at contact. As for wind on the range, I head to a course in practice mode and set the wind to low.

Lining up your ball is more of a visual aid, you still have to have the correct swing path and face to send it in that direction.

It's awesome for putting as well. I don't use it often as it's a bit too sensitive. but if they can fix that it will be amazing.
