Lovely fabrics & ideas--i too plan to make one of Sewlala's blouses, and debating which pants--so happy many fuller leg & higher rise are out! But I was distracted by the reflection in your glasses--blue/purple rectangle--not sure if a window or light, but covered your eyes when you were facing the camera lens directly--otherwise nice lighting & loved the pink linen--those will make wonderful pants!!
@Bloomsewing_studio5 күн бұрын

Great video! I live in Southern California and we have the same timeframe of winter months. I had a dress with pockets that made it look weird and pear-shaped, but I ended up just taking a strip of fabric and sewing it to both pockets in the front to kind of pull them towards the front middle of the dress, and that worked out great!

I have two rotary cutters. One for fabric and one for paper. I find it so much faster too. I am wearing a brown sweater right now trying to branch out. I am cool toned so mine is a mushroom color and I actually really like it. You might be surprised. Chalk and notch have great patterns.
@Bloomsewing_studio14 күн бұрын
That is a great idea to have two cutters! I also have two cutters but the blades don’t fit the same and it doesn’t roll well on one. If it did I would do the same. Since making this video I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to switch out the blade when I use paper but then I forget what blade I have in there so i probably need to label it. Brown is nice, I’m definitely starting to like it more. I bet that mushroom color looks fabulous

The method of attaching the neckband - I think! - is the French method which Maison Fauve use. They have a video of how they do it on their website. Personally I think it is a bit bulky but it’s always good to know different approaches!
