😂 my biggest issue is remembering to charge everything before going into the garden 🤦‍♀️. I love my dhalek compost bins but yes they are a pain to empty. Mushrooms are a good sign of healthy soil. Well it’s winter so little jobs and planning for spring. Have a great weekend Gem, Ali 🥶🇨🇦

@@myrustygarden thanks for the comment. Oh yeah very happy to see them mushrooms, this year growing really has been more about improving the soil as it was awful at the beginning of the year so it’s clearly worked! And that’s it, no rush to get it all done at once, little and often will do the job.

new subscriber interesting to hear your back story ❤ looking forward to more gardening content- please can you shoot your videos in landscape, that way the picture is easier to see 😅

@@StellasVegetablegardens hi thank you for subscribing, yes for sure landscape, it’s been a learning curve this past year. I shall be getting back out in the garden soon to sort out my compost and get compost in the beds and then down the allotment in janurary to get it all ready for spring. My back story I am happy to share but what of it would you like to know as there’s a lot 😆 x

@ lol what made you give up social work? I know how involved draining stressful soul destroying it can be to be unable to make the change you want but curious The funny thing is my daughter says I have undiagnosed ADD and as I watched you video of clearing the garden you reminded me so much of me it made me laugh after I got past my questioning why you kept clearing one space and making a mess with the weeds in another space only doubling your work 😁❤️ I do it all the time even when I have a container to work with 😭

@ well there is a long story to me leaving social work, but the general story is that it was an accumulation of stress, realising it wasn’t my soul purpose and constantly trying to manage my adhd symptoms (now I know it’s adhd and autism) and failing to do so, which was having a major impact on my wellbeing and mental health. There was very little support in the workplace and zero in my last workplace so I decided enough is enough, this is my life and I chose the experiences I have and I no longer chose that story for myself! As for the adhd and autism, it’s been a whirlwind and very painful yet healing journey, letting go of the person I thought I was which is very common for adult diagnosed people as we live a life thinking believing and feeling like we’re failures, don’t fit in etc etc. I’ve moved past that now and realise that I’m no different to anyone else, my needs are just different as are others to mine and that is ok, so I need to focus on what it is my brain needs to flourish and go with that. We all have different brains, different strengths and challenges and that is what makes us unique. I really do make work harder for myself though 🤣🤣🤣 that’s why doing a simple chore or activity will take me way longer than people whos brain isn’t similar to mine 😆 x

You certainly worked hard there. Don't try to do it all at once, you'll only lose interest. I have subbed, hope you get more. It's nice to see a 'proper' garden, not a photo-shoot ! Just one small criticism if I may ? when showing the garden could you do it a little slower ? whizzing the camera around makes me dizzy !

Thank you, much appreciated! Hahaha yeah I should have done it bit by bit but typically I left it all till last minute 😂 Yes indeed, I will try my hardest to go slower. I never know if I’m going too fast or too slow so thank you for that advice ❤ Thank you for the sub x
