I have the original normal speed footage for Edinburgh to Aberdeen, Kings Cross to York and Newcastle to Darlington. If anyone would be interested in buying copies on DVD drop me a msg on here on how to contact you and we can work out a price :) I have to strip out the original sound as the dialogue between me and the driver is under data protection. I can mix music or a cobbled together engine noise instead? Far too much hard work to put engine, DSD and AWS tones back into the soundtrack - sorry! 3 x DVD for EDB-ABD 2 x DVD for KGX-YRK 1 x DVD for NCL-DAR
Great fast video, loved the sound of the steam train just after leaving Arbroath

I'm sending this video to my state governor, we need this train technology in our area. We could cross the state in twenty minutes.

Perhaps in 200 years or less, trains will be travelling at that speed on a regular basis, they are almost at that now, especially in France and Japan with the high-speed bullet trains.

No, from the top the aspects are yellow, green, yellow, red. So it was a single yellow - just looks red on my old camcorder. If it HAD been a red, TPWS would have brought us to a stop. Compare this signal to the one at the end of Durham platform showing double yellow. Good spot, though! Cheers

@@z-ulu6657 No, that was yellow. UK 4 aspect signals are arranged as Yellow - Green - Yellow - Red (top to bottom). Assuming it was using said arrangements, it would've been a single yellow, not a red. The author of this video stated that it looked purple (or red I guess) was because of their camcorder.

Thank you Jonathan. That was a one take/one flight event as there were plenty of other people filming and we didn't want to drown out the natural sounds with our UAV noises all day!
@darrylpointer89088 жыл бұрын
Just to clarify, I mean a website and "test" covering the bare minimum safety and legality of UAV flight within open and congested areas - line of sight, max heights, distances, proximity of people, property, obstacles, houses, roads, wildlife, prohibited areas, maintenance of your drone, battery life, emergency procedures... Hmm, quite a bit really! But, there is some beautiful aerial footage out there - we all just need it to be 100% safe 100% of the time.
@darrylpointer89088 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, our three pilots are fully CAA certified and qualified at both 7kg and 20kg for 12+ months. The flight "tests" are only a small part of the process. There were two days of pre-flight survey and permission seeking before we even thought about taking off. We contacted Fylingdales 10 months ago to establish where, when and how we could fly near their restricted zone. Levisham is within the outer HIRTA and not within a no fly zone BUT we could be at 60m for max of 60 seconds. We established our flight plan and tested for RF interference in Levisham village at the top of the valley. We also have contact with RAF Leeming, Durham Tees Valley airport, Network Rail, police, hospitals... List goes on. We had a pilot and a spotter/camera operator at Levisham. UAV (drone) rules for the public? It's all about education, not prohibition. Why would Hobbyists have any idea about the CAA rules and reg?. Drone activation after a small online course/test, perhaps...? It's a difficult one..!

+Darryl Pointer hi darryl, what advice would you give to someone like me who is new to the phantom 3 and is a little concerned about all the publicity surrounding drones at the moment. i want to fly safely and not be in anyones way i intend to abide by common sense but i fear that drone operators will be constantly abused by the gemeral public wherever we go. i was going to fly just outside pickering at the first level crossing but the news on wednesday has put me off.
