The aircraft almost glides or levitates off the runway. Magnificent piece of engineering sadly introduced at a time when few Airlines had the business model for it and limited by airports capacity to accommodate it. I've made numerous flights on the A380 of both Emirates and Singapore Airlines and actively seek out A380flights in preference to all others.

Great taxiing and taking off. Taxiing takes 20 mins from terminal. Pain in the a...s! Those RR engines are so quiet! I flown in A380 with SIA and Qatar before. Its amazing flight for sure.

4:44 for those who don't know Sydney there is a road tunnel which goes under the main north-south runway and the accompanying taxi lanes. You practically have to taxi to next suburb before you take off. A one hour flight to brisbane adds another 30 mins stuffing around with push back from the terminal and a taxi to takeoff position.

34L is the departure you want, for the city views of course if you're on the correct side of the aircraft. It's Kingsford Smith International Airport btw, but no biggy. Good capture mate.

I lived in and flew in and out of Sydney for many years - both on A380's and many others. I can't remember a take-off that showed such excellent views from the harbour-side all the way west to the Hawkesbury river and the Blue Mountains beyond. Great capture! These days I live in rural NZ, and the most exciting thing I see in the sky is the occasional cessna. Many thanks for the memories!

Saw an A380 on approach to the main Houston airport yesterday. It came directly overhead at an altitude of about 3,000 ft. I was completely in awe of what I was seeing. I immediately got on flightradar24 and found that it was an Emirates A380 originating in Dubai.

@ No, there is Frankfurt/Main, the one in the Video an Hahn which is about 2 hrs away. It was renamed Frankfurt Hahn after low cost carrier Ryanair commenced their operations there, for them to market it as Frankfurt. Which is a joke.
