what happend if im not use a ssl? my password can be intercepted?

SSL is for "in-transit encryption". I'm not sure the RDS password can be intercepted, but my guess would be no, as the password (probably) is not being sent on every request to the database. What happens if im not using SSL? the requests you send to the database; if intercepted, they are in cleartext (human readable). But if you are using SSL, even if the request is intercepted, is gonna be a bunch of symbols that make no sense. So it depends on what data you are storing in the RDS, if it is dummy data about cars or if it is private data of users like addresse, names, bank numbers, etc.
