btw, the mirrors are the width they are because they are the exact same width as the rear of the bike with panniers on. ie, if the front doesn't fit neither will the rear...

funny enough I had a few situations with some low hanging fruit where the handlebars and mirrors fit but the bags hit and almost sent me flying, but that's a good rule of thumb to follow for the mirrors

I’ve had mine since 2019, she’s been all over Europe two up and covered 15000 trouble free miles. She’s now out of warranty so I had her remapped, this already very rapid and powerful engine is now producing 222bhp at the back wheel and it’s only had a mild remap! I then went to Italy two up for two weeks, again, trouble free and silky smooth and useable. Kawasaki nailed this thing, Japanese wizardry at its best👌🏽

Good review here. I have a wish list for more info and updates on the bike. Shame about the height of the passenger seat. Hoping for a taller windscreen but the higher Center of Gravity doesn't help around town handling. I wish you showed a side angle two up as I'm curious what your arm reach looked like and how much your back is leaned over the bars. Would need your heights, inseam, arm length added to really gleen perspective for others. Also curious about your bar risers source. Wish the H2 had a brighter blind spot light like the Pikes Peak style of warning. Later I also want to see Kawasaki incorporate braking pressure assistance through the ICU, if bike is closing in on an obstacle that it knows is not enough brake pressure (like the Tracer 9GT+ already has). Ultimately we need forward compatible software updates like this given it is just software not hardware changes needed on these expensive Bosch etc. systems. Let me know if you have more details. Thanks,

Hi there, great video. I’m about to install my own Mazdaspeed spoiler onto my rx7. Just wondering how you lined it up for drilling? did you match the bottom of the spoiler to the rear trunk lines or something else? Cheers
@scottyrfd8468
@scottyrfd8468 Жыл бұрын
Hey Ivan Congrats on your wing, so I ended up using the two holes on the ends as I already had a spoiler already, If your drilling just make sure your spoiler is as far back as possible but leaving a few millimeters to clear your tail lights. The holes I have already from factory were a generous size so I had a little play with the wing. Hope this helps

I came across a KZbin video a while back where a stock Gen 3 KLR was being tested on a dyno. At the back wheel the KLR produced 34 hp and 34 ft lbs of torque. The elevation where the dyno test was conducted wasn't indicated.

I have a '22 Adventure with abs. First thing I changed was the Mickey Mouse mirrors. I'd like to get heated handgrips because I do ride in the winter time as well. I commute to work and a round trip just shy of 100 miles and quite a bit of back country road at night and the extra lights are a definite plus! I actually loved the KLR so much I ended up selling my Ninja. I'm getting old so I don't need a crotch rocket anymore lol. Very good video and happy n safe riding 👍

Very good work except for one thing. The spark plug ratchet you used was a very bad choice. To much handle out there swinging around. All it takes is your dog, kid, wife, neighbor to startle you at the wrong moment and that handle slaps your tank or some other piece that did not require a wrench slap. Always use the smallest wrench you can use to get the job done, not the largest.

I bought this bike in January I think. Just getting back into riding after raising kids. Its very predictable. Like they call it a tractor of a bike. But I wanted on road/offroad capability. Just wished it had a bit more pep. The ability to lift the front wheel off the ground. But on the street, or National Forrest fire roads, it will do anything I ask. And it will tote a ton of crap. Great for moto camping, computing or off road play

I bought one I'm 2018, when they launched in SA. I regrettably sold it, but now the price has just become out of my reach. It has jumped from R280k (when launched) to app. R750k now. that's about R50k American dollars. Kawasaki why did you raise the price of this bike so much. It has become to unaffordable, that even Kawasaki South Africa won't bring in any units, unless you give them 50% deposit and be prepared to wait 6 - 12 months. I still think it's the best sports tourer, with the best features.....
@charltheron2769
@charltheron2769 Жыл бұрын
I have been quoted roughly ZAR650k (USD 36,000 -- or GBP 28,000 ) -- which, by the way EXCLUDE the panniers!! --- for the 2024 SXSE with a 7+ month wait (bet it will be longer than this) and the 50% upfront deposit by Kawasaki RSA, as they are not taking orders anymore for the 2023 SXSE model. (there goes your interest earning on your Deposit moolah, given the long wait) Might as well buy the 2023 model in Portugal then without tying up your deposit for so long, given the silly waiting periods and the absolute ridiculous prices Kawa RSA wants to charge, compared to European prices for both the 2022 SXSE and 2023 SXSE models (new or 2nd hand), as I and familia are in the final stages of emigrating to Portugal.
@zunaidkajee4540
@zunaidkajee4540 Жыл бұрын
@Charl Theron you 💯 correct. Kawasaki SA is chasing away what little clients they have left. in the UK you can get the bike for around 20k pounds, no waiting. Demo or slightly used much cheaper and readily available..... you can buy 2 busas for that kind of money. Good luck with your journey ahead 👍🏼

@@jonbusby3881 same issue here, no more Triumph ST with integrated bags. So now the H2 here in 2023 there is only one bike with similar advanced suspension, HP, 3 bag options and radar, the Duc Pikes Peak. Both have more high rev horsepower than needed but not much selection. The Tracer 9GT + in 2024 will offer a lot for the money as a modern sport tourer with radar tied linked braking effects at a much lower price from lesser suspension and engine. Have to wait to see the fit/finish.

Hello, how is the comfort for passenger? Is high seat? Awesome video, mate!
@Scottroland625
@Scottroland625 Жыл бұрын
Antonio The seat itself is super comfy however the position for where the passenger sits is the downside. With the clip on bars you sit a little more upright on the bike so the passenger sits more upright vs a tucked position, so they are getting a lot of wind at their head. Not a dealbreaker but should be noted for a longer trip

I'm 6ft 1, the wife 5ft so wind buffeting isn't really a problem, the only complaint is a numb bum after an hour or so, but that's been the same on any bike we have owned. The rear grab handles for the pillion have been lowered on the H2SX to below the seat height which was a complaint on the Z1000SX so kwak are listening to there customers :)

I have this bike and my wife goes pillion quite alot. Im 5ft 9 and my wife is 4ft 10. She doesnt find any problems with wind blast or the seat being set high, but she is tiny. The only thing i have done is put a gel inseat in the rear seat as after 2 or 3 hours in the saddle she said it started to feel uncomfortable. The gel insert was not that expensive but i did get it done by a profrfesional so the seat still looks standard. Ive had ZZR 1400's Busa's etc but this is the best bike ive ever had. Mine is the performance tourer version so it has all the paniers etc. It is great for touring and we have done a fair amount on it. I would not swap it and I am very very happy with it.
