Try to make another box like the one you made only use heat guns through holes on all four corners. Slightly tilt to where it creates a vortex. I've always wanted to see the temperature difference on that.

I would have bought this one had it been made in USA - i purchased a Handy RAM (2500 rated capacity) today instead because of country of origin.

I wish more folks were willing to buy the American made products we sell at Redline, but I understand the price differential is a big deal. As of 6/5/24, the 2200HD is $3799 delivered, and the Handy RAM with sides and a vise is $6359 delivered. For a lot of folks, that's a hard pill to swallow, especially if you don't have the extra money at all.

Thanks for the video. I'd like to see the best option for blasting patio furniture. I have an old hanamint patio set that I'd like to refinish. What's the best gun set up to get off the old coat of paint, what's the best gun set up to repaint it? Thanks
@RedlineStands
@RedlineStands 7 күн бұрын
We don't deal with painting, so you're on your own there. As for the blasting, I like to put my patio chairs in one of these: www.redlinestands.com/catalog/shop-equipment-c-327/sand-blast-equipment-c-327_501/sand-blast-cabinets-c-327_501_502/clamshell-pressure-pot-blast-cabinet-with-upgraded-vacuum-p-2421 But if you don't have that at your disposal, you can always blast with one of these: www.redlinestands.com/catalog/shop-equipment-c-327/sand-blast-equipment-c-327_501/sand-blast-replacement-parts-c-327_501_507/redline-outdoor-media-blast-kit-p-2911

Geeze, what a pain it must be to get an engine bolted and unbolted from that monstrosity and its only rated at 2000lbs? Harbor Frieght sells a 2000lb stand and with a little ingenuity, you could fit an electric motor to it to spin it and still probably be at half the cost of a Redline product.
@RedlineStands
@RedlineStands 12 күн бұрын
I'm going to be straight with you on this. Harbor Freight builds garbage and over-rates the capacity of everything they build/sell. When you buy Norco, that's a lot like buying Snap-On. Folks who have been in the lift industry for years have come to understand that you get what you pay for, and there's a reason why Norco is both not-cheap, and very heavy duty. If we're comparing Norco and Harbor Freight, that's like comparing BMW and Kia, and honestly I don't think that makes any sense sir.
@TurboGTO288
@TurboGTO288 12 күн бұрын
@RedlineStands I don't doubt it and I'm not going to argue, I own a Redline Rotisserie and love it and own lots of Snap On tools. There IS a difference, I know. However, in Biden's economy, I can't afford much more than $200 for a stand and I own a Mig and a Tig that will fix that Harbor Frieght junk right up. I doubt I build anything that weighs more than 1000 lbs anyway. Although, I think I'd rather have a cheap Kia over a Euro BMW ... easier and cheaper to fix and less money to start out ...

I used to live in niceville around the fort Walton and Destin area myself. That Quarts sand is amazing stuff. When you bring it back from the beach it's in your car and house for life lol. It sticks to everything. Even turns oil slicks into tar balls. And lighting loves the he'll out of it. It's a great conductor of electricity. That why things around there get wacked by lighting so much. I just wonder being it's been in salt water. If flushing it with fresh water then drying it would make it less corrosive to the metal your blasting. So you don't end up with rust under the paint job. I'm just thinking of possible salt contamination to the metal. Just possible food for thought, possibly what are your thoughts on this?

I can tell you this for sure. At the beginning of this Nova project I blasted some parts with play sand from Home Depot. I epoxy primed one of those parts and set it outside with only primer. Years later, it looks great.

It centralizes the load closer to the center of the vehicle. Same principle as opting for a gooseneck or fifth-wheel. Pulls much better like that.

Strange, I wouldn't expect the ABS to be active for boiling the fluid (ABS indicates you're still capable of lockup). But yeah every time I am on a track day with new people I ensure they've swapped to high temp DOT 4 brake fluid and hopefully have pads better than street pads. You aren't the first and you won't be the last - it happens!

The first time I zinc-plated was when I was a kid in the 70's. I got zinc from dead flashlight batteries the cases are made of zinc. I put my battery charger on 6 volts I think. I was amazed at how well it worked and I didn't know what I was doing.

As a rule of thumb, I double or triple the capacity of the lifts or stands I am buying. If I have a 4000 lb. car, I buy 12,000 lb. stands or lift capability. In nearly every case, I have backups to catch anything in case of a primary failure. I have known 2 people who have died under cars.
