This is the only video that explains how the side that is thrown over the shoulder is necessary for making the bow tie work. Great job

Because they're cool and fun. But be prepared for some extra attention from the ladies!

I love them. Don’t get to wear them often, but when I DO, center of attention.

Absolute best video on tying a bow tie. Got it first try!

Still can’t believe how easy you made this. It was pinching the ears and tucking the trunk that did it.

Here’s a tip. I’m left handed. What ever hand you are start with make the longer end opposite, that would be right in my case. From there all the moves in the video are manipulated by your dominate hand. Also when you put the last bend in thru the new loop he talks about the bend must be preservered then you can release the ends your holding together with the other hand. Start adjusting very slowly not to destroy the bows. It will come together perfectly with patience

Appreciate the clear step by step guidance. It is how to actually create the second bow and how to then push it through the hole that all others miss. Still not there after four attempts since bow tie looks 'backwards' with skinny part showing in front. Let me try, try and try again.

I used to wear bow ties while testifying in court as a federal agent. The women in the courthouse would often gush and compliment me. Conversely, the ghetto teens waiting for their court hearings would often laugh and jeer. That confirmed I was dressed appropriately.

This is, hands down, the best video on tying a bow tie. Very well explained and hit the spots most miss. I used it to tie my engagement bow tie and my wedding bow tie. But without a doubt, the best part of the video is the song at the end. When you get your tie done successfully, you get to listen to the song and do your happy dance before you get married! Great job bow tie guy! Song rules!!

This frustrating man. At 4:19 do you unpinch it and tuck the one side through or do you put the whole thing through? I can't tell what is happening because the camera angel moves to a side view. My damn tie keeps falling apart.

The Yokozuna isn't necessarily Japanese. You're right they're the highest ranked wrestler and it is the sport of Japan, but in recent years, Mongolian wrestlers have been the ones really holding that title.

You’re method was the easiest for me it was the folding it in half before pulling it through which made the difference I usually get to the pull through part and I’m like arrrgh this shot is impossible or I make the slackest bow tie ever lol! Still haven’t mastered it yet and can’t get the tightening and fixing to make it perfect but at least I know the method just gotta do it more and more ! Finally a light at the end of the tunnel !
