Curious, is that a lot or a little from your UK perspective?

Hello this bike is currently available for £999 in the UK which for a non-electric cargo bike is a very reasonable price which the option to have a conversion kit added for an additional cost. The price difference between electric bikes in the UK vs the US can be quite significant. I'm currently looking at the Yuba Kombi as a possible option as I've wanted a cargo bike for a while but have been put off by the prices of most of them. The price of the Yuba Kombi is appealing but there are a few caveats which are not so appealing the 24" wheels being one of them I'd prefer a aluminum frame and folding handlebars would be very convenient but the bikes which have this feature are completely out of my price range. The other consideration is having somewhere to actually store it which depending on the size of the bike could be a problem.

We hope that seeing our Recharge Station at a conference reminds people to get on their bikes and ride if they've got a bike just sitting around in their garage. If you need help learning to ride a bike, you can get comfortable moving your legs on this one. It won't help you balance on a moving bike, you'll need training wheels or a friend to help push you to get started.

Most people rode for 5-10 minutes. When you’re at a conference sitting for hours at presentations, it’s nice to be able to get your legs moving and your heart pumping for a short burst and charge up your phone and a few other phones while making new friends and connections!

Hi Alan, We offer 2 versions of electrified Kombis. Both are detailed on rockthebike.com/electric . They are a 750W Bafang Mid Drive and a 2000W GMAC rear wheel motor (with regenerative braking). Feel free to contact me for a test ride paul @ rock the bike dot com. Also, both of our electric Kombi versions are more powerful than the stock motors that come with the Yuba Bicycles version of the electric Kombi. Their's have always been only a 350 or a 500W but they do use good motors such as Shimano Steps. I can say with confidence that both of our versions will be able to help you up steep hills in SF with a load.

How much did the conversion cost ? How powerful is the existing motor.

@@alanmazzucchelli9013 I have the BaFang 1000W mid drive motor which cost about $700. I have had it for over 5 years and at least 1000 miles. There are many different battery options and prices although Rock the Bike has great skills with custom battery box installations. I highly recommend reaching out to them for a quote on a conversion!
