I loved this music, and always wondered what you guys were up to. Telling stories about live music to my daughter and thought about the good old days. I hope everything is going well for you man!

You should check with the manufacturer to see if they have a recommended pressure limit. Either with Hydra Force, or possibly check with FMF. Just reference the Gnarly pipe. Have a few questions for you hope you will answer. I am looking for another bike to start racing some old man class hare scrambles, wondering what you think of the 150? My first race will be this Sep. I will race my 350 excf just for fun see if I want to stick with it. I am leaning towards getting the 150 are you happy with the bike or are you wishing you would have got the 250? Thank you.
@creepermode014 жыл бұрын
I really like the 150. The bike is light and agile. The suspension is much different as it does not have the linkage and the WP is really for getting over objects easily. It does a good job at that. I have to position my body differently that I do I’m my KX250F because of those differences. So that’s a little getting used to. This is my first two stroke. It’s fun, but it lacks the low end torque and lug of a four stroke. It’s still tough for me to ride at high rpms on single track. I haven’t reviewed my times y.o.y. from the races to see if I’m faster on it. I feel faster when riding trails recreationally. It could use a little more power in sand in on the moto track...but I think that’s only me because of two vs four stroke. 62mph top speed.

did you notice a difference with fmf 2.1 exhaust?
@creepermode014 жыл бұрын
I didn’t ride more that the back yard loop with my factory silencer so I couldn’t really give you a fair answer. I ordered the FMF expansion chamber from KTM, but got refunded because they “discontinued” it. My guess is that the stock expansion chamber and exhaust ARE the FMF option. I probably wasted my money on the silencer....but it does look cool compared to the factory install.

I'm 13 years old and trying to move up to a full size bike from a Cr85rb. Do you think this bike would be a good bike for me?
@creepermode014 жыл бұрын
Micah Beausoleil congrats on moving up to a big bike. I started late, so I’ve only had the larger frames. I don’t know what your skill level, weight, and budget (how much you have to spend) are, but the bike is great. This is a great bike for trail riding/racing. If you are motocross, you might want to consider the 150SX. Also, a good bang for the buck is the yamaha 125 bike series. They have both the trail and MX bikes too (I think) I will be using this bike for hare scramble races. Some of the guys that race use 125 and 150 two strokes or the 250 four strokes. The four strokes are heavier

@creepermode014 жыл бұрын
Ken Reichenbach the suspension is really good for the trails. I did some adjustments with the guidance of friends in late December when we had a chance to ride. I need to feel it through the whoops again and I also need to get to a track to try jumping it to see how it reacts. Getting over rocks, logs, and ledges seems much easier for me now.

@creepermode014 жыл бұрын
Tyler C are you asking about your Yamaha or about the KTM as a good bike to learn on? Me, I rode a 250 four stroke and added this 150 two stroke. Both are great, but I think I’m better on the 150 right now. I’m 165 to 170 lbs with full riding gear and hydration. I noticed riders about my size on 125 and 150 bikes and was told it would be good for me. The guys I ride with say I’m faster. We will verify that this coming race season. Do you live in Michigan?

@tylerc24874 жыл бұрын
Just wondering what you think about it being a beginner bike Thanks for replying
@creepermode014 жыл бұрын
Tyler C. I think it’s great for any rider, but it seems to be a great bike for single track. It’s 30lbs lighter thank my 250 four stroke and lower center of mass. The wide gear ratio on the XC-W (versus XC) let’s it behave a bit more friendly for shifting (seems to pull through without having to downshift). It will never have the “lug” potential of a four stroke, but it’s a good balance. Still operates best when you’re “on the pipe”. It is also a quiet bike (you may or may not like that). Note: if your weight is more than me, you may need to work the forks and shocks. Also, if you ever get to Michigan for riding...reach out and ride with us
