I have one and i love it. Very powerful bike and handles the twistiest really nice..How will the Valkyrie go against the M109R?
@CycleHunters5 күн бұрын
@SaulVTXFRIDER They are similar. But the M109 is more of a sporty muscle cruise and the Valkyrie is akin to a heavyweight muscle style cruiser. The m109 is probably a bit more nimble but the Hondas motor tho...

I noticed you put 93 octane fuel even though Honda recommends 86. Was there any reason for this ?
@CycleHunters14 күн бұрын
@CaptHollister interesting. First, I've ever heard of a manufacturer recommend the lesser grade. I highly doubt it, but you never know? Usually you'd want to put premium in of you can.
@CaptHollister14 күн бұрын
@@CycleHunters Most Japanese manufacturers recommend regular. It's in the owner's manual. There's really no good reason to put premium in a bike designed for regular. The fuel contains the same number of BTUs and the bike can't benefit from the added resistance to pre-ignition. Additionally, all top tier fuels contain the required detergents and additives, regardless of grade. That's what the top tier standard means.

This bike is a highway superstar. Eats miles all day long in unbelievable comfort. It’s amazing. I’ve toured to Montana, Canada, Mexico, Florida, Arizona, Virginia, and everywhere in between. Make runs to the grocery store. Throw a ton of groceries under the seat and man it’s just a blast!! “Scooter” doesn’t even begin to describe this bike’s capabilities.

Street racer in my country Morocco, have so much respect and admiration for this specific models, it is a legend here. Since 2007 until I would say the arrival of gen 2 S1000RR around 2016-17 it kept being unbeaten. even the last gsxr 1000 model stock would get smoked by it if it had a good exhaust air filter and regular tune. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2a7dIODZbuShMk

Since it is sitting at about 150 that’s actually pretty manageable for a first liter bike. I know the cbr riders complain about the heat from the undertail exhaust. Does Yami suffer from that as well?
@CycleHunters27 күн бұрын
Ehhh It's not so bad. My Ducati 996 had that too. In FLA in traffic I could feel the heat on that bike for sure. But once you get rolling it's not bad.

Agree about the care of the bike, especially for something around 25 years old. The ‘98 had issues with the voltage regulator/rectifier - if you’re doing miles, carry a spare and know how to change it, or be prepared for inconvenience. In ‘99, the system was changed to a more reliable system - look at these in preference to the ‘98. From 60K miles on a ‘98 (and a couple of rectifiers) and about 50K on a ‘99. Power is good enough for me, ride is great (upgraded Ohlins rear shock). Take care of your chains.

That is a *GORGEOUS* bike!!! I had and loved my GL1100 with full faring and travel trailer. I and my GF/Wife enjoyed touring all along CA's Central Valley, but especially Hwy 49/the foothills all up and down the State. Such a comfortable Steel Horse to ride, smooth as glass and so easy to operate ('cept at the slowest speeds! It weighs a LOT!). Miss it, but couldn't keep it. Got too tired of FOOLS staring right at me, and deciding they wanted to smear me across the roadways anyway. Wonderful video!

no i bought a23 300 ss last november and low beam s dont work after 1500 miles . They have not returned my phone calls and not paying my dealer $150 diagnostic fee and who knows what other charges so guess i will need replace the whole headlamp assembly as its all LED but waiting to hear from cf moto. Even so once its out of warranty are these low beams going to hold up? if they couldnt even work after 1500 miles. To do it again i would def buy a kawasaki, yamaha or suzuki for my first bike feel like the price was not worth it in the long run
